I spent a ton more time last month and this month so far studying the game rather than playing. 25nl 6-max didn't go so well last month. I was having trouble making so many changes in my game at once, and I was trying out a lot of things. FR is continuing to go well. The more I play the more I find it easier to take at least what I consider a theoretical mathematical approach to the game. I've found a ton of small things I was doing wrong, and I'm still finding things I do wrong daily. This is much easier than trying things out forever.
I got some coaching from rika last month which helped a lot especially for live play. He pointed me in the right direction. I started to focus more on some theoretically optimal scenarios after that and a lot of stuff he was talking about started to click for me. To me this is just a shortcut to understand where every good player already is, and it's easier to work backwards from that.
I got flopzilla a few days ago and I've been using that a lot. The filters are awesome. I had no idea you could setup filters to see how often villain was folding until after I bought it and messed around with it for a few hours. You can see quickly see things like how often villain only continues with a gutshot, flushdraw, midpair or better and then it tells you with what % he continues.
