idk what even happened but I was surprised I was up that much. Just played one session then watched football and relaxed all day. I'm rolled for 10nl again so I'm where I was hoping I'd a week ago.

Pats Ravens was painful to watch. Ravens blew that game. 49ers Giants was a much more enjoyable game for me to watch but you could make the same case for kyle williams blowing the game for the 49ers.

It's good to see at least two former michigan players in mario manningham and tom brady in the superbowl. I haven't been following nfl for the past 4-5 years and I don't mind who wins this year. I like brady and eli manning who's playing ridiculously well. Woodson made it pretty far again too. I was fortunate enough to be able to see all three players play live in ann arbor. That's one of the few things I'm going to miss about michigan.

Which reminds me in one of the games when charles woodson was playing we had seats at the 50 yard line near the tunnel to michigan's locker room. At the end of the game woodson was the only player on the entire team to jump up and hit my hand (or anyone's hand). It always seemed like he loved playing. Maybe he was the only player who had the vertical to reach my hand though. I was probably in like 6th grade then. I have a ton of respect for him playing through injuries in the nfl now too.

Sweated stnbuddha today at 50nl 6-max and then he watched me play a few tables at 25nl 6-max. I got the itch to play 6-max again and thought that the games didn't seem that hard. I started out 12 tabling but then I'm like hey why not 18 table? So I did that and pretty much lost money the whole time. I think I ran insanely bad but I know I was getting outplayed. The regs seemed good which is scary for 25nl and I'm not able to pay enough attention to the fish to make up for me playing too many tables.

Today was still pretty fun and I actually enjoyed playing and felt like I learned a ton. I only have 979 in my account at the moment so it's back to 4nl. My 6-max game needs a ton of work to get things more automated. So much of my win rate comes from paying good attention to game flow and exploiting the fish and regs after I figure out how they play. I think it's kind of a cop out for having true understanding of the game to the point where you can play a ton of tables because everything is automatic at that point and you already know exactly what to do given xyz.

That being said I think even zaza and grog said they have a hard time playing more than 9 6-max tables and they have a good understanding of the game so maybe it's just missing out on too much info on how other people play? I know I haven't been able to play more than 6 6-max tables and have any kind of respectable win rate in the past two years.

I think I've come a long way in terms of tilt control. I know my run at 25nl in the past would have probably been more like -10 or -18 bi in allin-ev and I would always get really pissed off afterwards. Maybe it's old age?

I'm up 5.5bi 5+ handed and down about 3bi 4- handed. I ran pretty hot 5+ handed and slightly bad maybe 4- handed but I played pretty poorly too.

10nl seems much tougher than 4nl. At 4nl everyone was pretty horrible across the board. At 10nl people are able to fold hands. It's tough because you still have the people that don't have a clue mixed in with the people that sort of have a clue and I'm having a hard time grasping what level each person is on. I felt like I was just hanging on for dear life constantly while I was playing. It's tough actually having to think about more hands now versus 4nl where I only had to think about a hand for a second.

I mostly ran good today but I'm going to take it one session at a time because I still feel uneasy about how everyone is playing at 10nl. There's hardly anyone from 4nl at 10nl so I'm starting fresh with all the players. I'll have to review today's hands before next session because I don't always see the results while I'm playing. I guess my results are good and I can't complain but I'll have a much better idea of how 10nl is playing 100k hands from now. I could have played much better today in retrospect but what can you do?

I'm rolled for 10nl now.

Ran good up until the end where I ran pretty bad postflop and got turned and rivered constantly. I ran insanely hot with AA today at least getting it in good. If I can magically keep making $20 in real money a day starting tomorrow I'll have 100bi for 10nl on monday which would be nice. I feel like I'm really starting to iron out my 4nl game so that's it's pretty f'ing optimal for me playing 18 tables. It took about 140k hands for me to do it. Regs do some really weird stuff. I got 3-bet 18% today on the button which is about what I was getting 3-bet at 6-max 50nl I think which is funny.

Not really sure what happened at the end but I lost the minimum with KK vs AA at least.

2.5ptbb allin-ev. Meh. I think this is about what I'm currently capable of doing 18 tabling. Last month I was 2.75ptbb allin-ev over ~70k hands. At least I already have more hands than last month. I have 75 hours so far this month so that's $2.32/hr in allin-ev. I guess I was wrong about my hourly being higher at 4nl than 4 tabling 25nl 6-max. Oh well at least I learned a lot and I'm close to 10nl. I'm curious if my winrate will plummet like it seems everyone else's does or if it stays similar. I don't know if it really matters that I have a huge skill advantage (I think?) at 4nl especially 18 tabling because it seems like people just do random things and no matter what I do at the end of the day all my money comes from QQ+. The hands play themselves. It's obvious I have KK+. They still call or jam into me too much because they can't help themselves.

That being said I'm probably wrong and I need to get better. I'll try to read some stuff and watch some videos tomorrow and hopefully something clicks and I can get better because I feel like I've gotten to the point where I'm not even sure if some of the stuff I do is good or bad. I definitely need a break tomorrow from playing.

The plan is to get to 10nl next week and hopefully my hourly is at least $6/hr after rb so I don't have to be freaking out about rent. If we get our ftp money or my cake check from october comes within the next month I'll be fine until april.

Maybe one day I can finally move up to mid stakes. Right now it feels like a never ending cycle of grinding up to 50nl to get stuck there, but I used to not play enough and when I did I played too many tables at 50nl.

Ran pretty bad at the end to drop 2.5 bi. Set under set in one of the hands. Pretty happy with today up until that point. $100 more until 10nl which is a relief because my hourly at 4nl is like slave labor. At least I think I figured out a ton of stuff. I'm gonna play tomorrow and then I can't wait for monday when I'm gonna take a break. I have mixed feelings about it because sometimes I still feel like playing and not taking a break but at the same time I probably need one.

Hope this is just bad luck. Only two more days then a much needed break on monday.

Think I just ran bad. I'm down a bi with KK on the day and first 2k hands I lost to better hands when I had a two boats. I'm gonna take a break on monday. I misclicked folded 88 and 66 today when I should have opened or called an open. I kind of get ancy and folded them too fast thinking I had 86o and that like never happens to me. I'm about $130 away from whatever the next limit is and I can't wait to move up. The more I play the more I realize 4nl is all about waiting for KK+ and having people freak out which they do quite often.

Was probably way other thinking things first 1800 hands. Decided to nit it up and play so stupidly straight forward after that and did much better because everyone is horrible at poker. Felt much better playing without a hud. I'm fucking exhausted after today for some reason. I'm gonna go passout and hopefully run good can continue.
