Hi guys,

Have started grinding nl10 and had a good day yesterday but absolutely shit today. I made one extremely bad play and from then on the poker gods just seemed to want to laugh at me KK vs AA etc etc no point in boring you with the details.

I was hovering around 3 buy ins down and just didn't seem to be able to get any traction on any table. I am playing 8 tables and have had tilt problems in the past. Obv playing 8 tables tilting can get very expensive very fast.

I still felt like I was playing well but chances are I was probably not. I was not swearing or throwing anything like I have in the past however constant beats has got to play with your head somehow. Could I be wrong ?

As I said I am 8 tabling FR I and I know a stop / loss should take into account the player.

But what sort of stop / loss would people recommend for a pretty new player to 8-tabling cash with a history of tilt ?

Cheers and gl at the tables

edit: after checking holdem manager properly i ran 3.5 buy ins under ev in 1100 hands no wonder i was thinking wtf

New year new goals.

Have $500 on my FTP account plan on starting at 10nl until I have $750 and moving to 25nl.

I work full time so want to try and play 15-20 hours a week. Also work shift work so is going to take a while to work out a schedule but want to workout shower than play each session.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I know weekly graphs + stats probably wont mean anything to anyone but I am going to post them for my own reasons, mainly to be berated for tilt or bad play so if you see this please feel free to flame me.

Problems in the past have been obv tilt, and playing too high / no BRM.

Would definitely be up for a few side bets with someone in the same position possibly one hand / hrs related (min played) each don't have to be the same obv and one binding me to certain stakes if i play highter i lose.

Anyone interested please pm me or post here

Hi All,

Have been working on my goals / BRM for the next year onwards. Below is what I have come up with. I'm sure a lot of you are sick of hearing these questions but any input would be greatly appreciated.

$400
40 BI's 10nl (under 1 buy in give up all hope and get cat scan to confirm I do not have a brain / buy a bib and possibly look at an assited living facility as I obviously need help tying my own shoe laces / getting dressed.)
$600
4 BI shot 25nl
$800
32 bI's 25nl (Move back if 15 BI)
$1300
4 buy in shot 50nl
$1600
32 bI's 50nl (Move back if 15 BI)
$2800
4 buy in shot 100nl
$3200
32 BI's 100nl (Move back if 20 BI)
$7800
4 buy in shot 200nl
$10,000
50 BI's 200nl (Move back if 25 BI)
$16,600
4 BI shot 400nl
$20,000
50 BI 400nl (move back if 25 BI)

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also what does everyone think is better to set myself weekly goals. Hands / Hrs. I do work full time so was looking at 15-20 hours a week or a hand goal and a prop with someone to make sure I hit my mark (if anyone is interested feel free to pm me). I can't see a lot of difference but someone may have a different opinion ?

Thanks Guys

Hi All,

I read blogs on here a lot and the blog by JustPoker100 has inspired me to do something very similar if not the same.

In years past I have done ok at online poker but these days find myself treating it more as entertainment than as something serious most of the time. I go through stages where I put in decent volume with decent results only to find myself tilt it off, play when I'm tired/bored or worse when I've had a few drinks.

I still do well at live poker and I always have after the first 12 months that I took it as an obession and lost close to my weekly paycheck every week only to go upstairs to blackjack 75% of the time win some money back and then head back downstairs to lose it again (this obviously did change!).

I still love the game of poker and am going to set myself a starting bankroll for the micros or SSNL and dedicate myself 15-20 hours a week 4 - 8 tabling. (I do work full time)

I'm going to spend the next few weeks studying I have been given several books to read that I was too lazy to get around to these are:

* Bobbo's no limit holdem
* Baluga whales - Easy Game
* Slowhabit - Let there be range

I plan to start my goal in the new year I have time off in Jan and Feb which will help.

I would like some advice on best starting bankrolls / limits + also any study material anyone would recommend definitely will be getting a subscription to leggo too fwiw.

I want to learn and progress so thinking 10nl or 25 nl. (I have rakeback on FTP)

If anyone has made it through this massive entry TY and would love to hear any suggestions you may have.
