Had a great November ran good and played decent. Feels nice to win again after a brutal October, but my volume was still absolutely pathetic. I might need to make a prop bet soon to force some hands in. Without those I seem lose the motivation to grind.

Im off to Turks and Cacois with my fiancee for a friends wedding on Monday morning, so I'm booking my month today. Feels great to go away on a good month. If I had a bad month I would inevitable feel guilty being away and probably be a life nit while on vacation. Now I have an extra 20k to spend on hooker and blow!

Made a pretty sick comeback in October after getting stuck huge early on. But every time i seemed to punch in the positive side of $, I would lose 10k in a span of an hour or two. I lost 22k at 10-20 over the month, and ended basically even on the month.

Poker seems to be a game of wills, who can fight to stay sane through the many roller coaster mind fks we experience over sessions, days, months. I generally deal pretty well with a 1 or two day raping, But a month or two of pain wears on me.

I have been super lucky this year and have a pretty low variance year. October was my first breakeven/losing month in well over a year. Any of my months in the last year where I put in pathetic volume I seemed to run like god. And months where i was running poorly i grinding my ass off and got lucky to force out some decent months.

It really doesn't take much of a bad run for a pro to become a broke degen, A couple months of runbad, some tough real life issues, or a combination of both can be just deadly.

It's important to try and separate poker results from how you feel mentally/emotionally. If i win 10k in a day that should not entitle me to feel any more special that day, or entitle me to go out and blow 500 on something I don't need. On the flip side, I should not feel like a worthless degenerate piece of shit after losing 15k in an afternoon. I should not sit in the grocery store isle debating whether not to I should buy the bland NoName ketchup, or pony up the extra $1 for the good stuff just becuase I happen to be stuck that week.

I try to separate swings from daily live/ well being. Living with my fiancee forces me to act like a normal human being. Its unacceptable for me to act like an asshole to her in the evening becuase I buried myself in the afternoon. Of course sometimes i slip, but I always try to be aware of my lifetilt, and know the real reason why pissed off about something meaningless. This helps to avoid falling into the same trap in the future.

Long time no Leggo, I've been on a blogging hiatus, but I'm back and will see if i have the drive to update this once in a while. I have been on the steady PLO grind for the last year, and took my biggest downer ever this month taking shots at 10-20 and a tiny bit of 25-50. Decided i would be happy to get in the + for the month and I've been on a bitter sweet heater, the bitter obviously being I'm still stuck. I'm trying to put in more hands as my volume has been pathetic, hopefully i can squeeze another 10k hands in this October.

I still have a really hard time determining runbad/bad play. After i drop 20buyins in a session I tell myself it was run bad, and try to justify playing the last hour or two. However I usually know I was running bad+ playing like shit. There's def a difference, I'm trying to get better at identifying those spots and make better quits.

I guess they just needed a wake up call, and I apologize to the poker gods for being a whinny bitch, but in all fairness I'm pretty sure they forgot about me for a while. I thank them for their kindness today, it was good for my self esteem and now I can go back to ordering a new 30", which I was just about to do before I got boomswitched.

Ship the 16 buyin session!

Poker has been frustrating to say the least, just when I thought I was on nice upswing this month, I have run worse than I thought possible. Just shy of 50 buyin below Ev. Its getting really hard to play when I run this fing bad!!!

No one likes to hear bitching and complaining, but I need to vent.
Here is my last 3 weeks of play, since getting back from vacation.

Just got back from my first time in Vegas, I went with my girl friend which made grinding time rather hard to find, but I did get in a decent PLO session Sunday night at the Venetian playing 1-2 with a $5 bring in, (essentially 2-5) and made a few hun. Game played between 4 and 6 for the last couple hours which was rather epic. I ran a few big bluffs and super thin value spots towards the end, and eventually the two guys quit me calling me a sicko which was pretty satisfying.

Thoughts on Vegas
Pros
- Awesome food
- Tons of fish
- Lots of options for play (casinos)
- Cheap to get too, and to stay (hotels)
- Lots of free playing cards ( all these nice Mexicans were giving me nude playing cards, I collected a few decks worth!)

Cons
- I felt like a fish over paying for just about anything i bought on the strip
- So congested, hard to get around places in any reasonable time
- Bringing girlfriend, she doesn't gamble, which made it hard to get time to play

Overall pretty sweet place, I would love to go back with some buddies or even alone and meet up with some other people as I always seem to know some people there, and would love to be able to put in long sessions.

October Results- Had a good October coming in around +8500. for about 23k hands of PLO. No complaints, a good month in my books.

OK, I had to delete my old blog due to the fact that I applied to a couple police forces and didn't want them to read a year of blog posts that could surely nix me as a candidate, needless to say I was nixed anyways. They definitely wouldn't accept professional poker player as steady employment, so rather than getting some crappy job for a year or two, I will look to do something else later on in life, most likely real estate.

I have been rehired as a professional poker player, shout out to my employers Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, you guys have been great and are always willing to have me back.

I'm looking to get back into coaching and possibly staking combo if all the right conditions are there. (Only for PLO)

The ideal students are playing .10/.25 PLO up to .5/1. I mainly play $1/2 and up to 5/10 if the games are good. My current coach is a talented high stakes reg, who I've been putting in a ton of time with in the the last two months. Send a PM if interested. Price will be between 60-100/h. Depending on what you are playing.

Those interested in stakes will have to go through a fairly thorough application process as I'm not interested in getting scammed, and will need references.

Graph for fun. Here are my last 5 months of plo, missing 5k in profits and 10k hands from other sites. Started with coach right around 100k hands.
