Hi guys!

I know this is basically a poker related forum, but I have got the bad habit of not losing hope, thus I want to bring to your attention the sad case of Demzy, a pittbull whose owner allegedly abandoned him on a high traffic road in Romania. For some unexplainable reason, this dog refused to follow his survival instincts and chose to not lave the spot where he was left. On the contrary, he waited in the same exact place where his stupid owner left him, for 2 WHOLE WEEKS!!!

Here is a short video made by someone who brought this case to my attention: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydSv6bKAHUw&NR=1

This happened last year at th eend of October. Due to the fact that the case reached the media channels, the owner suddenly got scared of a legal punishment (in my country, a person who abandons an animal is sent to prison) and declared that he actually lost the dog and seemed very grateful to people who managed to rescue Demzy. Later on though, after getting his dog back he let the rescuers know that he was going to either kill the dog or abandon him again, cause he is sick with its stubborn personality and he wants to leave the country for a better life.

Here is Demzy's picture:

Guys, please, if you know anyone reposible who is willing to give this unbelievably loyal dog a better life, either post here or send me a PM. I would adopt him at any moment, but I already have a Doberman who is a male just like Demzy and I know they would never get along well with one another.

Last sunday I kinda spit my guts , trying to bring one of my hidden dreams to light. I've always wanted to sing, but unfortunately, for 32 years now, have been advised not to cause "you really do not sound well, hun" (registered trade mark by Mom). Well, one of my good friends got me started when he said I should give it a try. I still have no idea whether my singing performance is at least "erm...ok" or not cause when you are being told continuosly that you suck, even lobotomy could fail in making you a bit more optimistic
Here's the video...and please be honest about it

Our story is not the type that stars with once upon a time. Nor does it have a happy ending. However though, it can easily win an award for the most unbelievably dumb decision ever taken by a poker network.
One of the guys in our romanian poker community, who is a regular at NL1000 on a site owned by the Ipoker network, received an email last week, which I am going to partially paste here:

Quote:
Dear Vlad,

XXXX (poker site name) has been put under tremendous pressure by the Ipoker Network lately to comply with the network policy. To make it short the network policy stipulates that an operator needs to maintain a balance between winning and losing customers.

I am sorry to say that at the moment XXXX (poker site name) has a lot more winning than losing customers, and unless we do something immediately to rectify the situation and get in line with the network policy we will be fined sums big enough to ensure that we would be losing a lot of money.

This leaves us with no other choice than to part ways with some of our most winningest customers.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes you!

We would obviously have preferred to maintain you as a customer, but because of the current network rules and regulations it is absolutely impossible for us to do so.

Your account has been disabled. Please get back to me about how you would like to cash out your money. Feel free to add me on Skype if you have any questions or just need to vent…

Best regards,...
I just learned this last night, and believe me guys...I am stunned. I mean, wtf...are we talking about a casino losing money ???? Ffs...no matter how hard I try I am not able to find the logic behind this decision. Anyone kind to help me figure it ?

This post is dedicated to the most special man I have ever met, who will turn 23 tomorrow. I want to thank you for what you made me become, for supporting me, for holding my hand, for smiling when I'm sad, for accepting me the way I am.
You are the only reason I am. You are all my reasons. Happy birthday, Flav !

So I decided to take poker way more seriously than I did by now... I want to do it, I have to do it and I will do my best to play my A game. Why? Because I got sick of waking up at 9 AM and leaving for work. I got sick of coming home at 7.30 PM tired and not able to even wash the dishes... I got sick of working for a few buyins monthly and I finally realised that going to work is actually stopping me from becoming a better poker player. I do not only play poker for money. I love this game ! Thus I decided to quit my job on june 1-st.
Today's sessions motivated me like no other before. I managed to play 3 sessions at NL50, each on 8 tables, WITHOUT Holdem Manager (erm...I'm still at the office and for some reason I can't install it on this computer). I sent the HH to Flavius, who is at home, and he imported the hands in HEM for me. Result: + 500 only today !
I'm not bragging or something but I must addmitt I am thrilled with my results. Here they go:

Hope my red line looks better now

As I said a few months ago, I had to start over at NL25, had to learn and watch poker videos, and most importantly I had to shut up and listen to Flavius. Actually the last thing I did helped me move up in stakes and I kinda feel excited about my results (let alone I'm running like Virgin Mary ).
I also decided to give up ever reading or posting on a romanian poker-forum-wannabe, where I actually first read about poker. The reason I took this decision is not only that LeggoPoker actually gives me what I need, but also that the users over there are still wondering whether or not they should fold AK after flat calling a 4bet from a fish and hitting a K high discoordinated flop.
So here I am with the results, and I would really appreciate if anyone could honestly tell me if I need to change something in my game.

Best of luck to you all !

Lately I became more and more convinced that misogynism comes from either impotence or a huge lack of self esteem covered by a fake I'm-the-strong-male attitude. I believe that a genuinely strong man could never offend a woman, first out of self-respect and secondly because he knows that women are delicate by default. What's the use in hurting a 4 year old child when you know your power exceeds his ?
More and more often I run into this kind of "men" who proliferate misogynism, laughing histerically when their target woman gets annoyed by their childish attitude and even becomes embarassed. To me, such a behaviour is not only amusing but it really raises sort of a pitty in my heart for such impotent men.
Last sunday, I played in a live tournament that took place at Poker Club Bucharest. There were 46 men and...me, all of us "fighting" for a $33k GTDprize pool . It could have been a lot more fun if I didn't have the feeling that I'm trapped in some kind of Impotents and misogyns meeting. Of course not all of the guys were lacking common sense, but some of them really seemed to have come to this world out of some secret cave located in a hermaphrodite's ass. Not any hermaphrodite...but one who has never seen women for his entire existence. One of this illegal owners of balls finally took his golden seat at my table. It's pretty frustrating when this kind of situation takes one by surprise, as if I knew he would come I would have at least made some kind of a trophy dedicated to him: "TO THE MOST STUPID GUY ON EARTH". Guys...this junior would make Hellmuth so jealous And this is because he is wayyyyy more naughty than Phil. He would also devastate Mattusow, as he speaks way faster is not even funny...at least not to a brain owner.
Even though it was the first time we ever met (I swear ) he thought I would be a perfect target for his cocky attacks, thus he started firing: "what the fck are you doing here, chick ?", "do you have any idea what poker means?", "I have never seen a woman making money at this game", "will you blow me if I take your money ?". I could have given him the same reply my good frined Dragomir gave Phil Hellmuth last year at WSOP, when the poker brat called Dragomir an idiot...but I thought it'd be useless and might even make him feel better about himself. So I decided to not let him get to me.
What's frustrating though is that this world is a men's world. At least in my country most of the poker players are very unrespectfull with women trying to make money of this game. Is this some kind of strategy we haven't yet heard of ?

Man...I've never imagined I could be so lame as to cry a sea of tears for poker related issues. Yesterday when Flavius was sleeping I started a session and ruled for about 700 hands where I was +3 BI. Not excellent but not bad either. I guess I'm a very good grinder..I love multi-tabling and I could play for hours if nothing disturbs me. Suddenly I said to myself "ok...when I'm up 4 buy-ins I'm out" Say what ? As if the downswing sneaked inside mu head and read my thoughts, he imediately brought 2 lucky fish at 2 of the tables I was playing at. And BOOM ! Here I am down to -9$. It's funny, but while I was coarsing the hell out me ...I managed to wake Flavius up and he started yelling like a fire alarm: "get the fck oooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuut ! You're on a bad run and you're not gonna get better...you know it " He almost turned off my computer when I was being dealt Kings...lucky he couldn't reach the button or he'd be dead now After winning the blinds with my Kings I felt like a child who's toys are being taken away by some black huge monster, one by one...so I started crying like crazy.
Of course I only got better after half on hour or so, after I got my eyes red as if I were on LSD Flavius didn't allow me to play a single hand yesterday after that episode and made me promise I was not going to play a single hand today , at work. I did not...listen to him So I'm up 3 buyins again. Man, am I not the greatest ? I love poker

Well, hi guys ! I decided to start my own blog, given the fact that I begun to play poker seriously again...after a long period of time during which, most of the times when I heard the word "poker" I instantly got sick. Actually poker means 80% of my living. Unfortunately this is not due to the fact that I am some kind of pro...I wish But, man...there's a lot more to go till I reach that status I am currently working as Poker Room Manager at a site and I also love to play poker. My husband plays poker, my brother in law plays poker...so this is why my life is pokerfull
On the other hand, my husband kinda gave me the courage to sick advise on Leggo when he posted my first sessions stats on his blog. I think he improved a lot since he joined this community, thus I am willing to try follow his example.
Here are a few hands I played today and I really am not proud of how I did For now, I will just post the hands without results as I do not want you to be results oriented

HAND 1
Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players

Hero (UTG): $28.60
vanille413 (CO): $35.45
retiredn86z (BTN): $38.75
TiReckZ18 (SB): $12.55
Herndogg (BB): $37.40

etiredn86z is 100/53/ 40 3bet over 15 hands, thus practically unknown
Herndogg is 24/17/0 3bet over 29 hands

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with A J
Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, retiredn86z raises to $1.75, 1 fold, Herndogg calls $1.50, Hero calls $0.75

I elected to call the villain's PF 3bet due to a couple of reasons: first, 3 hands in a row he made the same move, regardless of his position, and went to the river with suited connectors or one gappers. Secondly I thought it'd be good to flat his 3bet and float on any scary board

Flop: ($5.35) 3 A 8 (3 players)
Herndogg checks, Hero bets $3, retiredn86z calls $3, Herndogg folds

I doubt my move was ok here. I donked thinking that might scare both of them away enough to fold their hands, knowing that betting when caught in the middle in a 3bet pot on an Ace high flop usually means strong hand

Turn: ($11.35) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $6, retiredn86z raises to $12, Hero raises to $23.85 all in, retiredn86z calls $11.85
River: ($59.05) 3 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Needless to ask whether my move on the turn was ok. I guess not. Even so...what would you do here ?

HAND 2

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

Aerschtuner (BB): $46.55
marcokingdom (UTG): $31.05
Willy Banaan (MP): $46.60
noeschi (CO): $25.00
Makku1111 (BTN): $25.65
Hero (SB): $22.05

Villain is 42/28/ AF 2 over 50 hands

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is SB with A Q
4 folds, Hero raises to $1, Aerschtuner calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.00) 4 Q 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, Aerschtuner calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.00) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $3, Aerschtuner calls $3

River: ($11.00) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $7, Aerschtuner raises to $17.50, Hero calls $9.55 all in

Now doing the aftermath, should I have been bet/fold ?

HAND 3

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

kbecker838 (BB): $12.90
77dust (UTG): $19.90
drumbla987 (MP): $14.65
Hero (CO): $47.15
PoOtie10 (BTN): $7.35
Tania (Aus) (SB): $31.25

Villain was 71/0/0 3bet/AF 0.2 over 14 hands...just another unknown station most probably

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with A T
2 folds, Hero raises to $1, 1 fold, Tania (Aus) calls $0.90, 1 fold

Flop: ($2.25) T T 7 (2 players)
Tania (Aus) checks, Hero bets $1.50, Tania (Aus) calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.25) 5 (2 players)
Tania (Aus) checks, Hero bets $3.25, Tania (Aus) raises to $6.50, Hero calls $3.25

River: ($18.25) Q (2 players)
Tania (Aus) checks, Hero bets $11, Tania (Aus) calls $11

Was my line ok ?

HAND 4

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

kbecker838 (MP): $13.65
77dust (CO): $19.90
drumbla987 (BTN): $13.15
Hero (SB): $55.15
PoOtie10 (BB): $7.70
Tania (Aus) (UTG): $24.50

Same villain as above

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is SB with Q A
Tania (Aus) calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, Tania (Aus) calls $1

Flop: ($2.75) 4 3 Q (2 players)
Hero bets $1.75, Tania (Aus) calls $1.75

Turn: ($6.25) T (2 players)
Hero bets $3, Tania (Aus) calls $3

River: ($12.25) J (2 players)
Hero checks, Tania (Aus) bets $2, Hero calls $2

I'm not happy about check/calling that river, especially after my blocking bet on the turn, but again...what to do in this spot ?

HAND 5

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

MIQ_MIQ_MIQ (CO): $11.15
acehandrick (BTN): $53.70
brokendeer (SB): $8.35
Hero (BB): $27.80
affinity_00 (UTG): $41.75
MisterX-83 (MP): $29.20

Villain is 46/0/0 3bet/AF 1.2 over 13 hands

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BB with J 6
2 folds, MIQ_MIQ_MIQ calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero checks

Flop: ($0.60) 9 6 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.75, MIQ_MIQ_MIQ calls $0.75

Turn: ($2.10) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, MIQ_MIQ_MIQ calls $1.50

River: ($5.10) A (2 players)
Hero bets $3, MIQ_MIQ_MIQ raises to $6, Hero calls $3

What would you do on the river ? I elected to call his min-raise, considering the way ahead-way behind concept

Finally, here are some screen-shots of the sessions I played today, got to log in and start a few sessions over and over again due to Stars' server maintenance run today
