With school, work, the gym, socializing I rely heavily on weed, my couch, and uninterrupted Sunday mornings to catch up on all my favorite shows and shit I miss throughout the week. Finally got around to watching the Office from last week (haven't watched last nights) entitled "The Banker". Weak sauce. Basically just a montage of clips from old episodes... speaking of I can't get the montage song from Team America outta my head now... very dissappointed nonetheless. One of my favorite shows not on cable... only other one is Modern Family. If another motherfucker tells me how funny 2 & Half Men or Big Bang Theory is I'll punch a baby. They're not. They're zinger one liner bullshit crap for the record. Though I did LOL at the clip where Jim literally steals Dwights identity. And I do own/have watched the original BBC version and loved it as well, although it took multiple viewings to fully understand. Never understood why they got just one season out of it over there? A bit less campy, a little darker, but still funny as hell.

So I've literally heard that Geico "ringeddy ding ding dong" ringtone on like 4 or 5 different peoples cell phones in the past week. I mean really? I hate people.

Speaking of car insurance commercials, that bitch Flo from the Progressive commercials has officially worn out her welcome as far as I'm concerned. That boufante beehive 50's Betty Boop look has got to go too. Never ceases to amaze the lengths to which people will go to be anyone other than themselves. What are you hiding Flo? And the name Flo on a red haired woman conjure up instant images of what? Hmmm? I think of a scene from Carrie, only not pigs blood. Yuck.

I've had a long standing rule in my home, every woman I've ever dated, wrap that shit up in tp, a sandwich bag, a ziploc bag, a trash bag, spray it with lysol for 30 seconds, then throw it the neighbors garbage four houses downwind. Death penalty or butt sex if it's sitting on top of the trash in the bathroom.

When I build my next house I'm putting in a safe/panic room if I ever have daughters to avoid any permanent scarring from said surprises. Nothing ruins a good relaxing power dump like a nasty cunt napkin starring at you like the googley eye Geico money. I don't hang my jerk rag up next to your decorative hand towels do I? FFS! And she wonders why we're not married.

I was watching Oprah the other day and they had dude who started Chipotle on... been by them a zillion times just never stopped/ate at one. So I'm watching dude talk about his chain and how earth/animal conscious/friendly they are and such so I decide to look up ther menu and see what they got and their site is down for like hours (I kept checking)... Oprahs fucking minions crashed a goddamned Mexican fast food joints servers LOL. I've been lookin to get tickets for my gf to her show, but apparently it's easier to sneak into a White House state dinner than get these random ass lottery Oprah tickets that you need to schedule your life/exsistence around. Hmmm... perhaps I'll just beat the shit outta my gf and she can be a guest on some battered womens episode? I'd def have to do something different though to warrant Oprah attention. Any ideas?

Poker has been blah... revolving door of grind out a small win for 30mins, pull a bluff w/ a good image/read/line imho, get called by a reg/nit w/ hand they'd never call 3 streets with, esp the river ps shove. Then, beleive it or not, I nit up, and like clockwork, know what's coming everytime, I get sucked out on by those godless motherfucking if I could trace your eurotrash ip potato address back to fuckholeistan and your goddamned mountain goat hut find you and poke out your stupid fucking eyes w/ hot pokers short stacking third world orphan Starcraft loving cunt ass... anyways these fucks from nowhere suck out w/ the free $10 some cocksmoker from Borat land gave them to produce rake and then I tilt. Not the bluff/thin call, not the std setups... nope, it's the the 30-50bb suckouts (couple in a row) that just send me off the fucking grid to homicidal maniacsville.

It'll probably be a good thing if I never become a successful HSNL player b/c I will beat the shit out of the pro short stackers when I run into them at the PCA. I've read blogs where name net pro runs into hated ss/rival unbeknownst to them and blah blah blah boring bullshit nothing happens. I swear if I ever get there my blog will be filled w/ pictures/video of real life short stacker enlightenment FirReel style. Fuck being professional and an adult. I will drop kick a mf'er while he's elbow deep in his beloved sashimi. Faggots.

Hope everyone else is doing better at the tables, God Bless.

It's become pretty obv over the last three weeks of the new year that I'm going to have to adjust my goals for the number of hands I get in online this year. Whenever I feel like playing I find myself making the one hour trek up to one of the boats. I think I'm addicted to the atmosphere, def my comfort zone. Online lately I've been losing focus after 30mins, find myself wanting to play Madden or Fifa, go out, etc.

I'm gonna stick to my 25NL goals and not concern myself w/ getting in 100k hands by any particular date. The games have been meh when I have played. I'm trying to work on exploiting the bad tags/regs. The players who have rote lines in every spot, particularly this who take pot control lines but cannot find a fold. It seems in general most players are much more comfortable calling it off/down than v-betting thinly... no one wants to be the monkey, but everyone wants to be the hero. Such a grind at times, trading blinds, 3bets/folds, the occassional cooler for hours just to outplay someone a little more than they outplay me and perhaps squeek out ~$5 over the course of a session from these players. The utility of the money is obv affecting my perception a bit. If I were to look at it as BB's I suppose it's mission accomplished against the regs if I'm taking 20bb's off them in an hour, but I get caught up in stacking someone, how many 50+bb pots I win and kinda discount the sessions where I truly grind out a 1bi win collectively by playing well, taking advantage of spits/players.

This leads to tilt, forcing the action. I want to play big pots, thing is the regs are nits, they're not getting their money in light, they're perfectly willing to die a slow death, but never going down Bon Jovi style (blaze of glory). I know this, but I lack the patience. Which is kind of fascinating since I'm primarily a live FR player and have played 12-18hr sessions before and been fine. Again I think it's the utility of the money won between the two games and the expectation. When I abuse the live regs, 20-30bb's = $100-150, online it's $5-7.5. Doesn't feel like it's worth it after an hour online whereas live even if I don't double/triple up I know I can make a couple hundo never showing down a single hand. That's some blu-rays, ps3/360 games, a night of drinking, a couple polo's... w/e. Online it's like 5 songs on iTunes lol. Ugh.

Secondly, and perhaps most irritating and confusing, I cannot create action. Live I can loosen up the table by raising two hands in a row, 3b once makes me a marked man by every player over 40, I can induce spew/loose calls seemingly at will. Online, I don't know if the avg player is just much more patient, emotionally disconnected, stupid/smart, or what? They're content/resolute in either waiting for the nuts and/or pot controlling/getting to showdown before they ever consider playing back. There are fish, but the regs come off as fpp/rakeback pro's who simply refuse to anything that strays from perfect stat strategy and trading coolers. There is just such a disconnect between micro play and what I see in the 200+NL videos. There is zero meta, leveling, light anything. Just cooler upon cooler. Aggression is rarely met w/ equal or more aggression, they just slowplay and pot control more. Everything is centered on being risk averse and controlling variance.

I guess it makes sense, is a solid strategy, but there's got to be a way to make more money at these limits than squeezing in a couple spots, 3b here, bluff c/r'ing there, win a couple showdowns and only running my starting stack up 20-30bb/table after an hour.

How do you mf'ers have a 10bi day??? I know they're out there ffs! I'd shit myself if I had a 5bi day after one or two sessions. But so long as I can go to the boat and at minimum double my $500-1k pretty easily/regularly on my good days and walk at w/ at least a couple hundo on my worst days, it's like WTF is the point?

Point is there is more money to be made online imo, it's just a matter of getting there... and that's a grind.

School/class has been going well. Work has been good.

Went and saw 'Book of Eli' and 'Legion'. Neither are like omg epic, but I found Legion to def be one of those guilty plaesure watches/will buy on blu-ray. Book of Eli on the other hand was just terribad w/ a roll eyes ending.

Finally got around to watching Jersey Shore on Hulu as I've only caught bits and pieces here and there and I'm super anal about watching things in order (at least shows that have some sort/sembelance of chronology). Wow, just wow. This show is soooo great on so many levels. Love it, only made it through 4 episodes but like ten minutes into the first I turned to the gf and said go get some McD's for breakfast, this is what we're doing all morning!

Colts won, almost went but had other commitments so I traded the tix w/ a guy from work for ND/Army tix next season at Yankee stadium eventhough im not thrilled w/ the new ND coach Brian Kelly. We're losing recruits left/right. He's going after his own guys who are scrubs from non football states like Kentucky and shit. Anways, another rant in itself.

Peyton solidifies himself as the greatest QB ever if he wins #2 imo. Buying an Antoine Bethea jersey shortly, most underrated safety in the game imo. Plus I need to add to the collection... got Wayne, Manning, Freeney, Sanders, and Clark. Gonna add Bethea and prolly Garcon/Collie in the future.

Looks to be a slow week, so I'm gonna shoot for 500 hands a night after work everyday this week.

Tilted.

Deja vu w/ online poker.

Start strong. Turned $100 into an account high of $1173 w/in ~15k hands.

Currently at hand 19.5k, so w/in 4.5k hands I dropped 11ish bi's at 25NL to bring my account to $890.

Being honest w/ myself, I'd say 5-6 of the bi's were legit coolers and the rest spew/bad play. Fortunately when I tilt I don't do anything super spazzy. It's more a compounding of errors as I try to force the grind so to speak. A bunch of pots where I throw away 20-35bb's c/r bluffing, light 3b/f'ing, calling 3b's ip way too light/speculatively, etc.

On a side note I've noticed that I almost never lose money barreling multiple streets though. I've noticed this before. Evolution of the game imo. Everyone knows what c-betting and floating are even of they aren't familiar with the terms. It's like the turn has become the new flop. It's almost standard for every reg to peel the flop/reevaluate turn, call turn w/ any reasonable amount of equity, fold river b/c no one 3 barrel bluffs/one pair is never good. I do this a lot successfully. It's strange. They never look me up when I have the betting lead and fire 3 streets w/ pure air, but they always seem to have it or just know when to rebluff when I'm making a move. It's not regs w/ history or knowledge of my game exploiting any obv leaks as far as I can tell/see as I rarely see the dame opponent twice in the HH's I've reviewed.

Back to tilt.

So I drop another 4bi's tonight, got close to getting even just to have it snatched away w/ stantard coolers. It sucks. My image finally pays off, they get curious/suspicous, call...call... and the river counterfeits my 2p, obv draws come in, etc. Speaking of draws, I remember no more than two yrs ago playing draws aggressively was super stantard, now everyone just c/c's their draws and NEVER bluff when they miss. Probably why I get away w/ multi barreling so much. But fuckshit people, any half ass non retard isn't going to pay you off when you hit, which you need them to do to make your retard c/c 2 streets line profitable (that or bluff occassionally/balance that line w/ sets/op's). Thing is, they get positive reinforcement of these lines b/c fucktards at 25NL pay off that river vbet. I don't, these mooks simply aren't bluffing rivers or v-betting thinly enough to warrant light call downs.

Donkadocus called them/these spots "forum folds/IRL calls" (never heard that term before/like it), thing is, I really do fold!!! And it's driving me nuts. I can handle folding these spots, what tilts me is an hour later I still haven't found/gotten the spot to recoup. Then I get frustrated that I'm not getting my share of hands/spots, they play their bad LAG/tard TAG styles, get w/in a card of getting value owned w/out ever realizing it... prolly thinking they play good. Pffff, mouth breathers. Then they go back to their yard TAG style (where opportunities are tougher/rarer b/c of their nittiness) or reciprocal spots (I don't what constitutes statistically "fair"/even) never present themselves and as I said after a bit I get frustrated and start to force things. I realize it's retarded to assume/expect reciprocity or "fairness" in poker, but damn I'm just talking about the odds/chances evening out a bit. I realize it's a marathon not a sprint, but it's like mf'ets jacking you for your shoes over and over again before the race has even begun and you watch them run off onto the sunset as you're stuck at the starting line waiting for new shoes.

So I decided to fuck up my situation more and this where the deja vu of my online poker forays creeps into my consciousness... played a $365 turbo sng to recoup some money, busted, account is $530ish now. More tilted/pissed. I resisted the urge to flip for it in some other stupid endeavor. That's good I suppose.

Blogging about it has kinda been strangely theraputic (sp?), working it out outloud (sts) is much better than internalizing the anger w/ a clouded perception leading to irrational responses/solutions to my poker problems... or what may in fact not be a problem moreso than it is just variance that led to some spew and my failure to recognize as much and address the real issue. I guess the answer is/woulda been to just grind. Keep looking for all the ev I can and let the cards fall as they may.

When I put it like that it ain't so bad, makes me wish I woulda saved that $365.

I'll learn from this, the grind back to even/original peak will be my punishment/test/goal. And it'll be rewarding to do it knowing how lousy I feel now.

Goal for the month: 20bi's/$500... a bi/day w/ some extra days to account for the unexpected.

Can you post a screenshot of VNC on your iphone playing 2 tables? Would love to see what it looks like. (To take an iPhone screenshot, simply press the sleep button at the top of the iPhone 3GS and the home button at the same time. - it stores them with your pictures). Alternatively a picture of the iphone playing would be cool.

Good luck with your goals!
I'm not sure what VNC stands for Hunter, but I did as you requested and took some screenshots on my phone. I use the LogMeIn Ignition iphone app. I'll have my gf bring her camera over sometime and take pictures of me actually playing the thing. It takes getting used to, must have a strong signal, there is some lag, but it's easy once you get the hang of it.

Signing in, PS lobby. The black bar at the bottom is your control bar, right to left... 'X' is exit out of the application... the little keyboard icon, self explanatory, it will bring up the standard iphone keyboard... the mouse icon, allows you to switch between right/left click buttons as they would work on a regular mouse... the magnifying glass w/ '+' is obv zoom, but I use two finger swipes that all iphone users are accustomed to for zooming in/out, quicker/easier... the gear wheel is for settings, you will use this a lot mainly for changing the your home pc's screen resolution and such...the last icon is for ctrl+alt and ctrl+alt+delete.

Zooming in on lobby.

2 tables.

Zooming in on the left table.

Panning over to the right table.

Right table zoomed in.

I posted oop, ATo utg.

Stantard raise. Not really, but I wanted to show action.

Note: unlike a mouse which controls your cursor on screen/mimics the movements of the mouse, the cursor/arrow is static on the iphone and you move the screen around it. So as you can see in the above screenshot, I scroll my screen down to put the arrow/cursor over the action button (raise to $1) I'm using. I also have mastered tapping the sliding scale so I don't have to type in my bet/raise amounts. If your already an iphone user it's extremely intuitive/very similar to the thumb taps/finger swipes you're already used to using.

Taking it down pre.

Folding the BB. Note my desktop icons in the background. The app is simply a remote desktop control. It freaked my gf out at first when someone (me) was playing poker on our home pc and no one was there/on the computer... she could see the mouse cursor moving around, hear the bells and dings, etc. I opened up notepad once and typed in "I can see you"... told her what she looked like and so on, it was funny, but she figured it out.

Note: Thumb taps = left clicks on a mouse. So a double click on a mouse is two quick successive taps on the iphone screen. For poker purposes, one tap on the action buttons = one left click on the action button you choose. If I were raising or increasing a bet size I'd move the screen so the cursor/arrow would be over the bet slider and I'd tap out my bet in BB increments. If the pot gets big where tapping takes too long, I will just type it in by putting the cursor/arrow over the bet amount box and then clicking the keyboard icon and typing in the amount... again, sounds like a lot, but it's seocnd nature after a few hours.

There are numerous other little tricks and tips you'll discover, the relationship between screen resolutions and lag, zooming in/out while multi'ing, how to pan/swipe efficiently, etc. Hmmm, what else? You'll need a good 3G or WiFi signal, the app will drop on occassion in the middle of a hand, but so long as you're not playing on fast tables, you should be able to reconnect/log in before you timeout. The app is $30 I believe. Hope that helps, any questions ask away, I'll answer best I can.
