Big Kudos & respect to you!

Rake Rake Rake Rake *Nom*nom*nom*

iPoker 50PLO: $71.82 in 856 hands => 16bb/100 rake. Let's say between 13-19bb/100 rake
Ongame 25PLO: $179 in 3531 hands => 20bb/100 rake (contributed)
Ongame 50PLO: 25$ in 263 hands => 19bb/100

PTR is kinda true then with its rake analysis:
http://www.pokertableratings.com/pok...ot-limit-omaha

Let's say the rakeback should give me something back but hey I can play 50PLO/100PLO no problem, it is just my skill level is just gigantic low that I think it is a waste of money to play on these stakes right away

Enough complaining! Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal!
Seriously, if you didn't watched the game.... download it and watch it! pure 90 min. of thrilling action!

What a match! 5-3 at Stamford Bridge, 1-0 at Stade Velodrome in Marseille!

Ofcourse Robin van Persie or Captain Vantastic or RvP the MVP is running hot... scoring a hattrick there. One excellent YouTube video maker made a video about him with only footage of the match:
Click!

Besides that Dublin apparantly had Torrential Rain last week.. the only thing I felt was wet pants and soaked shoes.. blegh but apparantly it was something like this:
Rain in Bus Video link

What else? Hmmm I have been studying playing around 50:50 ratio. now I am going to tune up the volume a bit because practical experience is ofcourse also needed to ride out the Variance Train.

I actually love every single second I devote to becoming a better PLO player, it is just this state of mind where you know nothing hence you have nothing to lose hence you are prepared to take it to the extreme.

I must be honest with the Sauce vid, I liked some concepts he worked out but the overall layout of the video was below Leggo standards. 4-8 tabling PLO, not enough funds (Im sure you are not broke but it gives a signal to its viewers) and some explanation were short, brief.

I'd actually love to see a Dual commentary PLO video, I always loved NLHE dual commentary ones regardless whether it was 2 producers (Dan & Bobbo) or a leakfinder

Next post is going to be about my New years party for sure, it's going to be Legend wait for it.. .......... dary!

It's been awhile me blogging here.

Firstly Arsenal, Go Gunners! versus Marseille, I watched this match with 2 French Marseille fans in a good old Irish Pub with a Guinness in my hand. Last minute BAM! the whole pub goes mental (Chelsea already won x-0 where x is greater than 4 :P)
YouTube click!

But let's go back to Poker. Lately my motivation to play SH NLHE just dropped a lot. Basically not wanting to analyze, not want to play means I am actually not productive at all. I do want to study but what is that going to earn me? nothing. exactly!

So I was thinking whether to take up a new game. MTTs? PLO? HU NLHE? There are pros and cons to all three new games. I quickly discarded MTTs because I want to have flexible times. HU NLHE doesn't sound to be very fun if I hear stories of 200NL++ HU players

So I want to raise the stakes and challenge myself through this tilt-train high-variance speed variant called Pot Limit Omaha.

I first asked some advice from PLO players and they basically gave me the same stuff to start with. I have a couple of video series to study, theory and the hands I play where I have no clue create a basic understanding of what I should do. I love it.

It is you just start a complete new game so you play ridiculous bad and you only can grow. I just played my first session on Ongame PLO and dude to quote Sak Noel's song' 'what the fuck'.

I played the best I can but absolute speaking that would be like a 40% rating with too many 2nd barrels (probably), too many calls and too few 3bets.

Basically I was interested ''What is my equity?'' which is the way to go and a good sign of progress. I need to - ofcourse - know equities of certain situations. Thankfully my affliate has created a sort of Omaha pokerstove which is in beta but works pretty good I must say.

I'm not sure if I should look at the EV-line at Omaha HEM now but I think it is the same as with shortstacking: the more you go AI, the more reliable the EV-line becomes due showdown.

Anyways some LOL_U_SUCK_Gerv hands I played:

I think within a couple of weeks I can move up to 50NL. Obvious I am rolled for like 200PLO but just like I didn't moved up to $2/4$ NLHE ; I want to prove myself that I can beat up the people so bad

I have a long road to go but I am definitly motivated & dedicated to perform.

Lifewise here in Dublin, I didn't found a partycrew yet but I think all first-year international students have this problem who study fulltime (not erasmus/exchange). The classes//lectures are interesting though!
This year I have
  • Marketing
  • Communications in Business
  • Business Organisation
  • Business Maths
  • Economics
  • IT

Basically I already did Economics and I am begging them to give me exemption.

Marketing is superawesome, I have one of the best teachers for this subject. Interactive, Me relating it back to Poker & Behaviour hm <3

Business Organisation is vital but the teacher is dull and just annoying me since I use my laptop to look up extra info but she sees it as Facebook.. b*tch!

Business Maths is.... Statistics, Standard dev, expected value & algebra. >.<

IT is HTML coding, what is a computer etc.

Communications in Business is quite an interesting thing but at the same time you are like ''what are we learning here :P''

I think I typed enough, sorry I didn't cashed in a $35k jackpot like Brian did :P thumbs up, hats off for him :P

Hey LeggoWorld!

My legs are still getting used to the amount of running they had to endure from paintballing but also from the daily routine of my life here.

Paintball was in a nutshell awesome, exhausting, self-discovering & frustrating.
  • Awesome in the sense that you finally can simulate how it feels to get hit. Furthermore as an avid FPS-gamer (COD2 European Champ, COD4 invite group) how it feels to shoot in real life. LIke proning, crouching, sprinting, asking for cover (no one did that lol)

We played gametypes like Hostage the Chick (hot chick was my hostage >:] ), Headquarters etc.
  • Exhausting in the sense that we played 5 matches, with a couple of breaks but no real water-drinking break. I come later on that but hydration is super important!! I get later to that because the title of this blogpost is ''Diet & Performance'', I just want to summarize my experience of paintball
  • It was Self-discovering in the sense that you get to learn that you are a n00b to the game. Accuracy of 9%? common shit for noobs like me. Getting owned by regulars? no shit sherlock. One way I felt like a fish well more like a camping Fish Also if something is new for me, I tend to want to improve asafp ( as soon as fucking possible :P )
  • Lastly it is frustrating as well. Your team loses, you lose. You don't get off spawn because 5 stupid idiots in your team are just BBQing around a campfire while the objective of the game is to raise the flag and no opponent can cross the middleline >.<
Personally it is frustrating that somethings u just suck when you start. It is also obviously proven that when you have loads of expectation of something, it is >>>>99% chance you will end up dissapointing. It is even feeling as dissapointing or less fun when you even know this Psychological Phenomena.
And this is one of the reasons I choose to study Business & Psychology because I just love these types of behaviour based on 1 subtle thing. Now I probably know why I love Marketing classes

Anyways I want to talk about Diet & Performance. I generally feel that they have a strong synergy with them.
People often say:
  • You are what you eat
And I support them for sure. We currently live in a Western society where food is a big surplus. MickeyD's here, Subway there, kebab the next hour etcetera.

Versus
Pretty polarized pictures but I think you know what I mean

I got hooked up with ''Peak Perfomance Poker'' displaying several stuff that opened my eyes back in the days I lived in Denmark and studied there. I had the luxury there of having a big studio so I could do some home excercises but also enjoyed the types of food that are available
I can expand on how I radically changed my diets but I will just give a brief overview of what my diet briefly is:
MONRING
** Natural Yoghurt (I only can buy low-fat but normal yoghurt is the best!)
with ** Low GI Muesli (Wheat Flakes, Jumbo Oat flakes, Toasted Wheat flakes, Raisins, Dates, Hazelnuts)
** an Apple, clementines or some grapes
** Strong espresso coffee with no sugar but some milk in it
** Asthma medication pill

Afternoon
!! This is a real tricky one for me. I simply have to have lunch around town which means the chanc e is likely I screw up here. so far I managed to stay cool but long-term I have to find a solution on this during the weeks
If I am eating in town it is like:
** Water during class & at lunch
** Sandwhiches at Subwayish things, special hamburgers without a bun but with extra salad (<- important)
** Buying an apple or something in the supermarket

If I am eating at home (Friday-sat-Sun) I eat like:
** Backrasher's // semi-bacon ( 3 slices )
** Fried eggs
** Some fried veggies or salad with mozzarella, olive oil, olives ( I can make picture son request or share recipes)
** Cranberry/Orange juice or fresh Apple Juice
** Fruit again as appetizer
** Multivitamin pill

Dinner & Evening
This is mostly fun as I like to cook so I mix it up and also plan ahead sometimes

** 1 1/2 chopped boneless pork chops
** 1/3 fresh peppers
** 1/3 fresh onions
** handful of frozen vegetables to mix it up
** If I have fresh brocolli, I chop it up in small pieces
** some leek rings
** If I want to have it spicy, I add chili
** 1-5 mushrooms
You just need a frying pan and a woksauce (Teriyaki, Sweet Sour) or even Indian curry will do. If you don't want that put shitload sof spices in there to make it taste well. Please don't use Ketchup (sugar), BBQ sauce (sugar) or sweet chili sauce ( sugarrrrrrrr) if you already drank a can of Coke or mountain dew or any other of this carbohydration crap
As a drink I mostly do a vanilla Wheyprotein supplement & water.
Then in the evening when I feel hungry, I either ignore it & go to bed or
*** some chocolate
*** oranges/apples/clementines
*** Digestive cookies

--
Obvious this can change during the week like 1 day I eat as lunch some instant noodles. the other day I dine in a restaurant etc.etc. You can deviate but do not deviate too much.
Last year in Denmark I had ''Sunday Pizzaday'' but really that kills the whole purpose of permformance :/
Couple of discussing things:

Low GI vs High GI; I already discussed this with Grogheadflow when he told me he didn't had much variety in his diet.

WHITE PASTA = REFINED = HIGH GI = BAD

Yes it tastes good but you really get energy spikes as if you play PLO HU daily. I only have brown pasta in my cupboard IF I ever eat pasta.
Basically I advocate not eating too much pasta, rice, white bread, buns, potatoes because think about it: what do they add in nutritional value?
** Pasta --> taste but shitloads of carb
** Rice --> taste in oriental food but carbs
** Noodles --> carbs & fat
** bun//white bread --> ''it tastes good but Hey the next hour I am hungry again''
** Potatoes --> Carbs/Starch

In a nutshell they are stomach fillers. Why do asian people sometimes eat JUST noodles? they fill their stomach.
Why do they eat Rice with meat in a 50/50 ratio? It fills their stomach.
Why do people eat Sandwhiches? It fills their stomach
etc.etc.
I am not forbidding u to eat it. That would be crazy. Just limit it. For instance if you have eaten an Asian meal ( yeah I am asianlike ) with 30% meat, 30% veggies, 40% rice. That's way too much rice. Keep it like 40% meat, 40% meat, 20% rice at the very least. 10-15% rice is perfectly fine especially if you like it ( I recommend Jasmin rice)

I still have to buy a balance for my weight but I feel fitter, more energetic and I can see my body mass (aka fat) shrinking

This seems like a long post but I want to have some discussion on this because I truely believe we can increase our perfomance by at least...

Guys, tomorrow I will doing my first ever paintball session with my business school.

If someone can give me some useful tips, that would be appreciated! I'm very competitive and I don't like losing to Girls..

Qua gametypes they have capture the flag, hostage (Search&destroy?), Tower storm (Modern warfare's King of the Hill me guess)

Even though I like playing FPS//RTS games on a relatively high level of competitiveness, this is RL so it is kinda different :P

Scenery of tomorrow:

Thanks guys

I must say I ran terribly but I also played like an absolute idiot. Combine that with 20kish hands played and you have a good foundation of dropping 13 stacks on 100NL.

I was really mad on myself when I saw the result but also I just lacked volume *again* and it backfired here. I also left the mainsite I was playing on because the traffic just died because of anonymous tables and the tables are overcrowded with regulars. Thankfully due weighted contributed rake (10bb/100...) I raked $1.4k so I get 60% of that back weeii

I see myself being a sick person in negative sense. When I get mad, I get mad. I almost threw my chair through the window yesterday because somehow I force myself to play good and that's unnecessary for me as I have finance fixed like I can live of pokerwork like coaching/staking and freeroll on the playing itself.

But yet here I am with a sick uncontrollable frenzy almost hitting walls (again!) with my bare hands just because I want to punish myself. It used to be even worse but I don't want to talk about that. Safe to say that I am perfectionistic and a game of Poker is like the oil on water . I guess it takes time to understand that. I can wait, I have the BRM & time but it is just nagging when you lose flips, fish donkshove & the software doesn't give you much volume

I think it is a mix of bad variance and bad play that results me in being this angry. I did some work out soon after that, that felt better but it was still spinning.

Anyway I am still grinding every day even though Fresher's week is starting in my Business School. It features meeting new people (I suppose), drinking (in bars), paintballing (headshot!) & joining some sports/societies.

I am most interested in European Football (SOCCER! <3), Handball. Qua societies there are numerous like a Radiostation but also a Poker society where they just organize lol_donkaments.

I think I should limit my whine posts in just 1 and it is this one. I studied several psychological vids and obvious every poker player has been through shit and ran bad. Am not even talking about PLO or Arsenal FC :P

Anyway let's Rock!

Dear leggo people , I am proud to announce that I got things settled in Dublin, Ireland. FYI I couldn't find Pocket Kings LTD. office but for the lolz I can make a hidden camera visit with ''Where is my money'' :P

Anyway I am at a friend's house so I can't upload the pictures about my apartment. It's not baller but rather cosy and quiet which is extremely important for me for poker

I will crosspost everything else from another blog to you:

[x] Lockdownnnnnnn Day

So me and another friend had this lockdown day. Firstly I couldn't wake up because of the awesome bed I have, it is fuckin dangerous believe me... at casa di mama place in Holland, I only had a single bed at my disposal..

So I managed to not have my 24'' screen on time it is in Koln, Germany at the moment if I can believe UPS :P

Eating some breakfast, having some vids ready to watch while eating my breakfast and hoppa I'm off to the other side of Dublin! Mind you that the weather was extremelyyyyyyy good. Sun shines, no cold and hot irish girls :P

I started out with a warmup 25NL session on Stars as announced earlier. I do them a lot recently whenever I feel I cannot put up a good show perfomance on my normal limit (B-C games etc.)

Also they tend to keep me busy and learn about putting less energy in certain common spots. One can also call this conditioning and I am extremely curious if this is working for me. The level of play on 25NL is just ridiculous btw, it is all Spazz versus moi//emma watson hehe

After that we went to a quick lunch.. well at least for me I was ready for lunching so SUBWAY BABYYY tho i was picky with my sandwhich and just chose sub of the day with a lot of veggies on it I should never nitpick with choosing sandwiches

So ehrm anyway I played three sessions of 100NL & 200NL in the end and experienced a whole new ballgame. I actually left my 5-6tabling game to a more robust volume-friendly 6-8 tabling game. It works for me since people perceive me as a clown and while I play many many tables, I can't do funky stuff *yeeha*

Biggest hand I lost & Won today in $ & BB::

BTN plays 74/46 fishy guy. I wanted to find out what his notorious pot/pot/overbetshove line was so that is why I checked. FUrthermore he is betting a lot when checked to so why not give the good old pal some whiskey :P

Didn't worked out well :f_mad:

UTG played 51/3. Flop check to check/raise obv versus this guy who can bet. Obvious bet on the Turn and River I was debating between check/raise or betting myself. Since i still remember many many times i checked the river to check/river and people just check back stuff that are v-bettable, I just bet myself.

The rest see was history I guess:
I sucked out on him on Flop, he sucked out on me on Turn and I sucked out on him on the River! Sounds fair.

The lockdown day ended at:

Which compensates the running bad in the beginning of this month. I partly blame myself for it since I played so fucking retarded back then. Still one sees the occasional ''monsters under the bed'' syndrome but hey just keep on rollin'', we grindin''

BTW i just finished season 1 of 2months2million while playing 7.5hours LLlllockdown

I failed though because I wanted to play 12 hours =/ Would be a goal for next time I guess!

I'll be looking forward to college starting tomorrow & the poker grinds

It's like 1 week away from me moving to Dublin, Ireland. I think it is handy to reside at another poker player's apartment for a couple of days and then find out which apartment I want to live in aka visiting them. from what I've heard I can get the keys and sign the lease within 72h so that is pretty quick.

Enough about that since I think pictures are better for that topic!

I am sure I am not the only one who is saying ''Pfffff next time you are going to bed early!'' and then bam! it does NOT happen.. Well for me it is affecting my energy level or my brain level.

My nutrition is far from bad and almost near top. I eat Low-GI food, no pasta/potatoes or deepfried trash like those yummy Dutch snacks. Instead I eat fresh veggies, fruit, fish (herring! raw *raawr*) and other stuff I took from Peak Perfomance Poker and a couple of other poker players who are doing ''primal diet''.

Problem now Is that I just have to go to bed earlier in order to achieve / perform 2 main A-game sessions. Now I just do 1 session on my main level and 1 16-24 tabling session on Stars 25NL in order to get creative with certain lines, know some typical tendencies and also to get familiar with loads of common spots so I do not have to put energy in that.

I am surprised I do not play like a nit then (24/21 10% 3bet ) and overall level is quite proportional to the stakes I play but I feel it is not the most efficient production I can do with my time. Yes I can study or play my C-game on my main limit but I just hate myself for wasting time if I study enough and play superrrbad/spewy

Anyone can help me by going to bed earlier and take my 8hour+ rest ?
Maybe I should order:

My results in August has been very well according to the volume I made. I was gone roadtrippin' around till the 17th inclluding sleeping sessions so yeah volume sucks:

Qua ratio it is 60/40 in favour of 100NL so I am quite mad at myself not starting enough 200NL tables. I am also quite dissapointed in myself that I kind of spew a bit too much in the end. It is just a simple ''fold pre'' spot but noohoohoo, I take the high variance route. Could have saved me $300 for sure

Meantime in August I finally opened my new trading account where I will be investing in at this moment mutual funds from Robeco, it is a Dutch investment group. I've chosen not to go to the stocks/options route yet because of the lack of time I have and foresee.

Currently I am happy I took some time to explore all the mutual funds and decided to stick with 4-5 and 1 obligation fund. I also have set money aside in my savings account tho the interest rate in Europe is currently at a meager 2.5% tho it is a deposit account which means every month x$ is going into that account.

Last but not least I got accepted at Dublin Business School as of today so I have 1 week to accept the offer. I think I will take the offer opposed to study in Maastricht (Eend lives there right?).

Finding an apartment is kind of a pain in the ass but since I know loads of people through Pokerstrategy, they helped me out as they were living there before. I called some agencies today but I was quite gunshy at first. It didn't helped they were talking at a speed of lightning...... I am used to English but this fast, come on!

So I got loads of things on my mind, I probably won't do Bobbofittos coaching this period as I am super unsure how much time I can devote to Poker and my poker goals.

Arsenal have been doing some great purchases on the last day of the transfer window, hope they will perform vs Swansea! Tomorrow Dutch national football team plays San Marino; that means Number #1 on Fifa rankings versus the last ranked. Huntelaar plays as well as RvPersie

It's gonna be a fun match!

Trance: Ricky Fobis - No Regular
Hip/hop: Kanye West - Amazing
RnB: Jay-z - Run This Town
Indie Rock: OFCOURSE Brad Sucks - Borderline
etc.etc. if you want to know more stuff from me, just pm me

Poker nowadays has been great btw, I got a visit from my singaporean friend who is playing 400NL on Stars. I showed him some dutch {raw} herring and all those Dutch stuff

We also sweated and discussed some hands in fine detail. I would say he is more technical with math which brings a total new look on the game. Though I think I spewed a bit.

He sweated me on three different sites and on one we couldn't even play with a HUD since my laptop is fuuuked so we played $1/2$ PokerStars with colour labelling , he knew some players so we could quickly capitalize on players.

All-in-all a good experience, he just left to the city he is going to have this exchange. I am off to bed now haha

Oh and Arsenal is buying some new players after their 8-2 humiliation =D! finally!
