36725 Chips had David "The Dragon" Pham on my immediate left the whole time. It wasn't really an issue, except when he kept getting aces against me.

Had one hand where i bet, check raised turn, and jammed river with 66 on a A78r5xKx river and got a fold.

Card dead for the rest of it, made some good plays, but unfortunately people were four betting like it was the new three bet at my table.

Sully Erna at my table tommorow, and i'm at table 123 if anyone wants to come sweat me in seat 9 or just say hi

Gl everyone in the ME!

Had a really bad table draw. Brock Lesner (SP?) was on my direct left and is a good mtter and there were two other guys who seemed to know what they were doing and were three betting a ton. So my range had to be decently tight or i had to 4bet ship a ton. I went card dead so i went with the latter.

Was at about 3k at 75/150 reshoved like 2 hands, mostly blinded out. Had 2.2k Fish limps, another fish limps, i jam with 33, everyone folds to the first limper who calls with KJo. lol donkaments. I lose the flip.

Excited for the next event.

peace

"Welshchip has not been responding to my pm's today and is still looking for a solution to get me the 35%, however, I am dropping his 35% reserve by midnight EST due to the fact that I'd rather give action to someone who ship in a more timely manner given the circumstances.

U can waitlist for up to 35% now and I will post an update in this thread at midnight est.

Thanks."

My life over the past 4 months has been an insane ride, mostly containing taking 7 classes to graduate on time (lol) 21 credit hours or something in total. Well. I did it, I graduated. I got my BA in Theology from Franciscan University.

Everyone keeps asking me, what are you going to do now? Are you going to get a job? I have never had to explain so much about what online poker is in my life. For the most part i would say "I'm not sure yet...but i'm probably gonna play poker. Really quietly obv. The plan is to play 6max/fullring/husngs and mtts all from nl100-nl400 and mtts from any amount to 200's. Backtracking a little bit now to the past...roughly February.

I was considering shootaa coaching and it seemed liek a great investment albeit a big one for me being a nl100 player at the time. So i was liek okay this is +ev and it's not too much to where ill just go busto if i downswing so this is like a lock.

So a few days before i was going to lock in the coaching i played mtts, cuz i was tired as hell and was playing video games at the same time i think. I cashed in the million dollar freeroll that stars has for supernovas and then got really deep in an 11 dollar deepstack after busting out of a ton of others.

When i got to the FT i was roughly 80bbs deep (LOLLLLLLLLLL)

Lost AA vs 99 for even stax to seal the 2nd place vs a massive

I was crushing early in the month and was excited to be coached. Get coached by shootaa if you are a winning ssnl player, hands down the best decision i've made all year.

So we started coaching and i shot took 200 at the same time, which was the plan. It went well the first day, but after that. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, yadda yadda. Most of itw as my overapplication of the information i received and not valuing the context well enough or backing up my moves with reads.

I dropped half my net in one month including coaching (which at the time felt like i lost it, cuz i was like feeling super sad/busto)

(A shirt i bought from Old Navy, i normally hate shopping, and don't like old navy, but i saw that shirt and was all O.O)

So commencing the depressions

(Me sick from bad indian food from London while on a bus in Ireland to Dublin while i was traveling and was at school in Austria, about how i felt losing so much in one month)

So i was -5bi from teh shot take (standard) and then proceeded to lose 25 buy ins at nl100. It was ill. I was ill, most of us have been there.

This is already turning into a long blog, so ill talk about my epic heater vs a fish hu one tabling in the next blog.

I'm going to be in June from the first to the 15th (at least), and want to play in event 8 and 13, and am selling action at 1.1:1.

Here is my loldonkaments resume

http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...D5241.html?t=2

I'm also a winner at nl100 full ring/6max on stars and ftp and dont want to link the *Site that shall not be named graphs* and also i lost my database on my old laptop due to a crash.

Looking to sell a good bit maybe more depending on when i win Event 8.

Hope you enjoyed the read,

David

When i joined this site, i was pumped. I was ready to learn. The one thing that I do (and sometimes still do) is see a video and immediately go try out what i've learned.

The main problem with this is, i play a fraction of the stakes where "boring" ABC poker is going to net me the highest winrate.

The problem?

A video producers style and creativity IS NOT my style or creativity. Just because Aejones does it doesn't mean that if you do it you will be aejones or acquire his confidence and winrate.

It's good to try things link donk betting and experiment with new lines, but if you are doing fine with what you are doing, don't outlevel yourself with trying to become the next aejones by mirroring his moves.

it's not gonna happen that easily. Mimicing will get you nowhere (99% of the time) because you will put yourself in awkward spots where things didn't go down like they did on the newest leggo video. (At least this was and still is sometimes the case after i watch a video)

The purpose and solution:

To get you to think creatively and adjust well and think about the game in a correct manner as you encounter better opponents on your road to robusto.

Keep things in perspective and be open to new ideas but realize that sometimes doing what you've been doing instead of mimicing the plays of successful players is THE best line to take.

Gl in your robusto grind

I think as poker players, we are surrounded by the results of others, and compare them to our own. I think this is a very bad way to mentally prepare for the game and even though it is almost impossible not to.

A guy I used to play nl100 full ring with won the sunday million a few weeks ago for about 260k running bajezuz hot. He was terrible at full ring and i crushed him for a few hundred.

As i railed the match i became frustrated because a player so undeserving could make so much money in poker. Since when does poker give the just their due and the fish their bustoness on a 100% consistent basis? The best thing i've ever read about poker is that "Poker doesn't owe you shit", and i've grown to let this be my downswing mantra so that i realize that i can only control so much.

The ending to this story of the guy who won the milli (Orionrg) was that he went to the nl5k full ring games and played a lot of heads up and donated about 150k to various regs there. (not really a justice i just think it's kinda sad/funny that he thought he could play nl5k after winning the millski)

An undeserving player? Maybe.
A fish? Probably.
More deserving than you or me? Probably not

BUT

If we are busy looking at everyone else we let our eyes wander towards the accomplishments of others and our feet trip out from under us on our journey to super robusto sauce in the poker world.

It's not your accomplishments vs the coaches on leggo or the random donkament lucksack on a random sunday.

It's about you and getting where you are going and staying focused so that you don't trip on the results of others while trying to form your own and doing what you are here to do, get better, take maney, and enjoy the game.
