Four years ago I was playing in some of the highest stakes on Full Tilt (25/50nl and 50/100nl). I took a bad beat on a 50/100nl table and lost about 20k in a single hand. I went on tilt and lost another 10k over the next few sessions. I lost confidence in my ability to play, and I cashed out the remainder of my bankroll and decided to take some time away from poker. My second child was born 6 months later and my priorities changed. I went to Tunica a few months back and played poker for the first time in years. I made $3200 over the weekend playing some of the worst players I have ever seen. I remembered how much I loved the game and I wanted to start playing again. I made deposit on Full Tilt and went about rebuilding a bankroll. I quickly realized that the game today is played so differently it almost seems unrecognizable compared to what it had been 4 years previous! I dedicated myself to learning how to become profitable again. I joined Leggopoker, bought Mathmatics of Poker, downloaded pokerstove, and I am going to buy holdem manager. I have watched about 40 videos and am trying to learn game theory as thoroughly as possible. I still feel lost in the learning process. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to learn today's game. Thanks.
