Well first of all, 2008 sucked. Probably the worst year of my life. For a mixture of reasons life has sucked this year and every effort I have made to change things has failed. Sadly enough in the last few months poker has been the only thing that kept this year from being a total failure. I made some big strides in improving and building my bankroll the past few months that living off poker in the foreseeable future has become a legit option.

2009 I am hoping to have a huge year in all facets of life. I guess I don't really need to say more than that as far as 2009 goes. I am more excited about this year than just about anything I've been excited for in quite some time. Hopefully all goes well with regards to life so poker can be that much more easy. I'm ready to be done working for people and do it big!(so i guess there was more to say lol).

I'm rolled for 400NL right now, pretty crazy 6 months ago exactly I was being a giant tilt monkey and not even rolled for 50NL. Bankroll is at 14k now and I am continuing to crush on Cake. I'll be sticking with 200NL for now though, don't really feel like getting owned that badly.

I wish I could get the converter for it to work to show a graph, maybe I am just not filtering hands right/combining aliases in HEM, I think I need a coach for that.

I'm glad poker is going well right now because life pretty much sucks. My request at work for christmas off was denied, which I could understand since I've only been here 6 months. But then my supervisor doesn't give me my normal 3-day weekend(I work 3 8's and 1 16) so it's not really even worth it to go to my hometown for a few days before christmas to spend some time with the family. Not to mention he has not replied to one email or phone call from me since I never see him.

On top of that I have had zero luck cashing out since the beginning of November, Stars never sent me the check I requested on October 31st, and every bank transfer I've tried through FT has failed. I guess I will stop being lazy and fax Cake/FT my info or get a new bank account so can get PAID lol. I am living fine off work though just have some debt I wanna settle altogether with poker money, It is nice having my bankroll continue to swell though.

So yup, sorry for the novel it's been a bit though. Hope everyone is well.

So I have all but entirely made the decision, I'm gonna try to play basketball again.

I played for two years at a JC, it wasn't a very good time and I'm kind of bitter about the whole experience. I never wanted to go the school in the first place but was too immature at the time to find somewhere on my own without "mommy and daddy's help". Basically they said, "Go to this school because it's in our hometown and we're not gonna help you at all if you go anywhere else". That was from 03-05.

So anyways, I played the other day for probably the first time in >6 months, and I really wasn't too displeased with my game or how bad of shape I was in. Though I have been sore the past four days from it. I did try bench press the other day as well and failed on my second set of 135, i was benching 275 back in '05, so that was kind of humiliating. I'll likely be coming up with a workout plan here soon so I can get something steady going.

My goal is to walk on/get a scholarship to a small 4 year school in the fall of 09. I need to get on it cause I don't have alot of time to get my name out there. Wish me luck!

As for poker, made 1k last night while at work which was nice for 3 tabling nl200 for 2 hours. Flopped a couple of big draws and got all in and hit on both, stacked a fish, and I think I just grinded up the rest.

1.4k on Cake, 900 from nl100 and 500 from nl200.

I have a Cake HH converter but can't seem to get it/HEM to work together right.

or at least i think so, I'm the d-bag with 55.

fwiw guy I was deep with was a monkey, so I was not too worried about him. I minraised the 88 guy cause I play with him alot and he's a nit and I was trying all I could to make him go nuts vs. me.

Recently had my best day ever on Cake, netting 1.6k playing probably 70%NL100 30% NL200. Been 4 tabling nl200 since then, fwiw cake's nl200 is probably softer than nl100 on FT, but I need to get more hands in on FT to be sure.

Had kind of a painful NL200 session today, went from -$300 to up $500 and finished up around $300. Definitely looking at alot of spots where I need to tighten my game up, I could say the first part of my session today I played like an idiot but didn't run too bad, then picked it up later. I think proceeded to get owned by these two guys that started with 60bbs each, just ridiculous stuff like one of them check minraising me on the river w/AT on a QTxxx board and I had KT, soulread obv. Getting used to 800-1k daily swings is gonna prove difficult for me, I remember I getting blackout drunk the first time I lost 250 bucks, lol.

Can't complain though life is good being able to play nl200 regularly til I'm a little better rolled or get my ass handed to me

For those that read my last blog, I missed going to check out the office but the other two guys did and apparently they gave us the old bait and switch. Basically the RE agent realized we were really interested in the office so he decided to tell us all they had was a smaller place for like 40% more a month. We're basically saying EFF that guy and gonna try somewhere else, kind of annoying I was hoping to be in a place by the beginning of November.

As for poker, I've kind of been hating it lately. I tend to have ****ty sessions and not want to play for 2-3 days then I'll just bust out tons of hands in bursts. Definitely need to cut down on the time I'm not playing, I hate not being able to get out of the rut sooner. The good thing about not playing is I do watch more videos during this time and respond to more strategy posts, so it's not all bad for my game.

As for life, men's league basketball is starting soon and I'm easily in the worst shape of my life. Really need to get in the gym in the next couple weeks so I don't kill myself out there. I played two years of college basketball after being somewhat highly touted for a small school, that left a bad taste in my mouth in the form of team basketball. Needless to say, men's league is still a bit of a dissapointment compared to even low level college basketball.

Anyways, be good everyone, JNuey.

Lol, had to do the Tourettes Guy quote.

Been playing NL100 on cake, I feel like playing w/o the HUD is improving my game a ton. Playing w/a HUD makes it very difficult for me to pick up individual reads on players. There are soooo many bad players at cake, I feel like even the nitty regulars just do things that are atrocious. NL100 is easily easier on cake than NL50 is on FT imo(don't play it though you'll hate it:P).

Me and two poker buddies have basically committed to starting a poker office. The 3 of us are going to split rent in an office space or possibly a small house. They both play higher than me and are both pros(I'm not, obv), so I'm hoping for this to be a big learning experience for me. Also having a separation of church and state would do me wonders, if it weren't for xbox I probably would've put it 3x as many hands in the last year. Going to check out the building monday, it sounds like we are getting a pretty sick deal on it. They are only renting to legitimate businesses so as of now I am a "day trader", lol.

plz to be living off poker by next spring break.
