| Looking For Some Inspiration And yesterday was one, i started off immediately down 6 buyins yet managed to battle back to win about 3/4 of a buyin. I 9 tabled for the first time in awhile i really dont know if it is healthy for me or not. Like literally im laying awake here at 9 in the morning and i just cannot shut my brain off. I dont know how people like leatherass play so many hands without going insane. Like i 9 tabled for almost 4 hours yesterday and my mind is still just buzzing. Its really wierd but right now all i can think about is situations and stuff, and like wut id do in them. Im like 95% sure i was doing this all last night while trying to sleep as well. Really wierd and it seems to happen everytime i play a lot of hands, i just cant seem to turn off. Oh well, on to some hands as there were a few.

sorry had big long explanations written up for all of these except the obvious spew ones then accidently hit convert hands and it erased everything so im done for now.
Hands Played: 6336 Money Won: $604 | | | | was mildly disappointing in that i tried to accomplish a few things on my list of goals and got totally shut down. Basically my roomate had gotten groceries on the weekend so im sitting around with absolutely nothing to eat waiting for stuff to materialize so i can start cooking more. Now im strongly considering walking to a grocery store but the only thing is i go home for the weekend in 2 days so i dont want to get a bunch of stuff and have it go bad.
Another ****ty thing was that i was looking on the humane society's website i wanted to volunteer at and its the gayest thing ever. In order to be able to take the dogs out of there cages and walk them, which is what i want to do, you have to be 21 years of age. All i can think of when i see this is the "WTF is this ****?" picture that always shows up in bbv threads. I mean i'm old enough to gamble, buy liquor and cigarettes if i felt so inclined yet i cant walk a ****ing dog? Anyways i emailed them seeing if they have any leniency in that category as if not the only work they would have for me would be feeding the animals and cleaning out cages, and as much as i want to help out i want to enjoy it at least and im 1000000000% sure i would not enjoy scooping crap.
Onto poker though im starting a new goal and that is basically to win $100,000 before summer starts without playing anything higher than 5/10. Now that means i will once again start that ticker with hands played and money won everyone get ready
Now onto two hands from yesterday:

This hand i just outright hate and ill give credit to the villain in that he read my hand for exactly what it was. I know i for sure bet all 3 streets as villain, but he almost snapped my river shove which i give him credit for, as regardless of whether or not my hand makes sense its still hard to call off 50bb's with 2nd pair. Anyways i should be c-betting this board a lot but i decided to mix it up which i think is fine, the turn i should just be folding though, he's got a ton of equity most likely with all his bluffs and a lot of times he already has me beat. Surprisingly this was the only hand im really unhappy with from yesterday, as the rest just seemed standard spots.

this i just laughed at and i dont really mind villains play though if the flop came down 779 i am 100% sure i am not cbetting as i just got the feeling he was gonna shove over any cbet. Anyways gonna play more today so here's hoping for the best Hands Played: 2940 Money Won: $398 | | | | | So the last few months have been pretty ****ty for me with a ton of personal stuff going on that just totally ****ed with my head and didnt allow me to play poker at all and when i did play i just felt like i was spewing money all over the place. Despite all of this i still managed to win something like 6k in september which considering i barely played 25k hands, and felt like i was on monkey tilt the entire time while playing, i consider a pretty decent accomplishment.
Finally though i got through pretty much all of my personal stuff and I officially have my girlfriend back now, and i think we're both a lot happier and looking forward to trying to make things work even with the long distance thing.
So basically i dont expect anyone to have gotten this far as no-one wants to read about some other guys emo life but im setting out some more goals for myself in the form of short-term and long-term to once again attempt to get my life back in balance as ive been a total waste of skin the last month or so. Short-term goals:
- Submit my application to volunteer at the Lincoln County Humane Society (I have a lot of free time and love animals so i want to try something like this out and see if it results in any happiness ev)
- Go to my optometrist and get contacts (I have been putting this off for a really long time because i only wear my glasses for driving at night but my eyes are getting progressively worse and i hate wearing glasses so kind of a no brainer)
- Start exercising more (everyone says it so i might as well say it too)
- Not sure how familiar you all are with my blog but im going to go back to posting all of the hands i thought i played poorly. Last time i did this i went on an 18k heater at 3/6 so i figure it can only be for the best Long-term goals:
'm really looking to become more "cultured" as one might say because i really think it will help mellow me out and make me a happier person. With that being said in the next year i want to
- Start learning to play the guitar again, i started briefly a couple years ago but kind of plateaued and thus gave it up, so looking to start again.
- Learn a new language, still not sure on wut yet, the easy way out would be to choose french because i'm already mildly fluid in it but ideally id like to just brush up on it and learn something like spanish or italian.
- Start cooking more, and experimenting with new foods and recipes. I love to cook but unfortunately living with a bunch of college students who eat nothing but chicken fingers and burgers doesnt exactly spur my creative side.
- And finally i want to buy a house and a car before the beginning of next years school semester. This is obviously a huge goal i want to work towards and something that seems unrealistic to even me at the moment but as they say shoot for the stars and you'll at least end up on the moon or something real cheesy like that.
So anyone who actually got through all of this i applaud you as it more for personal motivation than anything else. If anyone else is in a similar boat and really wants to change their life let me know and id be happy to chat and talk about possible ways to motivate each other despite how gay that might sound (girlfriend can vouch for me not batting for the other team i hope).
Now after this essay of a blog i better go as i have goals to achieve; so i wont make you read any longer but i am going to say that i expect big things out of myself in the coming months and i strongly believe you all should too, so stay tuned.
everyone take care and best of luck. | | | | | hey guys,
so im sure all of you missed me greatly but the past few weeks have been insane busy with moving back to school, getting my new house set up, actually shopping for myself and all the routine stuff i have to do to get back in the routine of living on my own after a lazy ass summer at home. Anyways september went pretty well and i finished up about 17k after getting hit for a bunch the last few days of summer. So for now im pretty much just grinding 2/4 so i can bank some money and get my future set up before i try any more 5/10.
So now that poker is out of the way i can get to my weekend which was awesome and definitely left a few stories to be told. So to start off at the end of september my gf and i broke up, but it wasnt nasty or anything and we stayed pretty good friends. To be honest it was a long distance relationship which was getting kinda hard and going back to different schools where you can meet so many new people kind of led us to go our separate ways. Anyways fast forward to this week and we began talking a lot and it was clear that we both had quite a lot of stuff we needed to talk about. Now my roomate has a gf that goes to the same school so we decided to head down for the weekend and see what developed.
Well i stayed with my gf the first night and basically we both decided that we still loved each other blah blah blah but the distance was to hard and it sucked not seeing each other, and i hate talking on the phone which also made it kinda difficult. Anyways we settled to be that cliche friends with benefits and that was that...
So saturday night arrives and this is where the real story begins. So there is a ton of people at my ex-gf's house and we're all obviously drinking and since we're just "friends" my ex and i are obviously doing the standard talk to other guys/girls to make the other jealous and i start chatting up a girl my roomates gf brought over. Anyways she was pretty cute and definitely fun to talk to, so we all packed up and headed to the bar where things got pretty hilarious.
First things first i was wasted so when i got to the bar i had to take out money to pay for more alchohol and kind of lost track of this girl; but i thought no biggie im in a ****ing bar so for the next few hours i did the standard dance/drink/chat etc. Now during this time i was dancing with other girls in front of my ex/she was dancing with other guys and blatantly trying to make me jealous which was obviously working but all in all we were just having fun and i still assumed id be going home with her that night. So out of nowhere the girl from earlier shows up and starts chatting with me and is kind of all over me. So my ex walks over and im thinking "awesome catfight" but instead she goes on to tell both of us that she's going home with another guy and this girl im talking with is welcome to stay in her bed where ill obviously be sleeping. So my ex peaces out and im left with this girl wondering wtf is going on when this girl tells me she loves to dance and basically drags me onto the dance floor.
Now this is where it gets fun. So we dance for a bit and then obviously start to make out only she was THE WORST kisser ive ever come across in my life. Like i dont mind a subtle bottom lip bite every now and then to mix things up but she was literally attacking my lip and holding onto it for dear life with her teeth which actually hurt a ****load and made me want to get the **** out of there. So i tell her i need to go to the bathroom, she agrees and tells me to wait by a wall outside of the two restrooms. Anyways the second she goes in the door i full out sprint outside of the bar and just start dodging and weaving through streets id never heard of before in my life in the pouring rain. So i get on my phone and start calling my roomate and his gf apparently tripping balls telling them to help me, some crazy ***** is after me, im going to die etc standard drunk babble and they start telling me to look for street signs which i do only they dont recognize any of the names, so finally i ask a random dude where george st is and thank god he was heading there and offered to take me which was awesome. So i finally get back on the right street and just start sprinting down this sidewalk until i finally see my friends who have been trying to guide me to them for like 30 minutes who should have been mad but were to busy laughing at me and my sick getaway story. So i end up going back to roomate's gf's house where i crash soaking wet on the couch.
But like the drunk moron i was i texted my ex and said some dumb sappy **** i dont want to type and it turns out the ***** bluffed me and didnt go home with a random but rather went to a friends house and so she came back to pick me up and we ended up going back to her house despite me being terrified lip biter was waiting for me there. Anyways she wasnt and so the night ended happily.
Sorry for such a long post but i couldnt leave out any of the details. Anyways expect more boring poker posts and less novel sized stuff in the future. peeeeeeeace | | | | Well i guess it was coming sooner or later and obviously this is just a small bump in the road but i ran like complete garbage today. I started off the day immediately down money yet battled back to be +1200ish for the day. Took a break, came back and just got cold-decked/sucked out on a bunch and ended the day down about 1k so pretty dissapointed but wut can u do. Kinda funny though is that my graph looks like im on an insane heater and yet im down almost like 3k in all in equity. Which just obviously means im coolering people some but it definitely keeps my confidence up knowing im not just running like god.
Standard vent hands so feel free to skip:

God this hand tilted me so bad. I swear doing this retard 5bet min is always AA. I know i insta fold QQ/AK to this and i really wanted to fold KK but its KK so i just cant. If he shoves i snap so i really hate his 5bet here. I guess it gives me room to monkey it in but there's no way im ever doing that considering im folding QQ here so i just hate it. For some reason it tilts the crap out of me when people take fps lines with the nuts to my second nuts and i know they have the nuts but i still cant fold and all they have to do is play straightforward and get the money in no problem rather than having scare cards and **** hitting and losing value /end rant.

Ok so not quite but close enough imo. Just lying in bed now recovering from a big night. Pretty sure I played 11 games of beer pong within 2 hours followed by an incredible game called baseball thats like a mixture of beer pong and flip cup. My buddy just taught me it and its pretty sick, 4 cups in a row and the closest one is a single. second one double, 3rd triple and 4th homerun. If u miss a cup its considered an out, and u have a cup beside all of them filled halfway and if u have a runner on base u can start chugging that and as soon as ur opponent sees u start to chug he has to chug his beer as well and its whoever flips the cup and lands it face down is the winner (either runner is safe or out depending who finishes first). This is just a killer rule and 9 innings of this **** is waaaaaay to much. Im pretty sure i only made it to inning 4 before i had to tag in a buddy to finish the thing for me.
Anyways i set a 40k hand goal for the month but doubt im gonna end up making it. My cousins rented a sick cottage for the week so im probably gonna be spending a boatload of time there this week so dont know how much time ill have for grinding but we'll see. Either way im pretty proud of wut ive done so far this month and considering i usually struggle to 25k hands in a month 9 tabling im gonna be pretty pumped if i get near 40k hands 4 tabling. GL everyone and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Very happy with the way i played today as well as getting in some hands for the 40k challenge. Im definitely going to have to grind hard the next few weeks if im going to make it. Its kind of funny because i know if i had been running bad this month i would have put in twice the amount of hands i have trying to get even and probably be well on pace but as we sit im gonna need to pick things up a little. I have to say though i dont feel burnt out at all as im playing when i want and usually only 1-2 hour sessions a couple times a day. Also this month has been the reverse of everything ever told in poker history as im running like god at 3/6-5/10 and pretty poorly at 2/4 and below which is obviously awesome and something i dont mind one bit. Anyways here`s the stats on the month:
So life is quite good right now and heres to hoping the rest of the month continues in this direction. Im very grateful to be running as good as i am right now, and im trying to cement this stuff in my mind so when i hit the inevitable downswing i can accept it and look back at this time. At the same time however i am going to take partial credit as i i feel i have been playing very well this month and even though i say im running good its not like im sucking out on people all the time ive just been winning with my good hands and winning some crucial flips as well.
One more note before i go to bed and that is that im considering doing some coaching though ive never coached before so my rates will obvious reflect that. Thread is here on 2p2 with rates and coaching plan etc and feel free to pm me there or here on leggo.
Take care guys, and best of luck.

and she is way hotter in person. | | | | | Just decided to play for a little bit before bed with mixed results. Up almost $1600 on the day so cant argue with that but i lost a stack at 5/10 just before i decided to quit which definitely puts a dent in the daily earnings. Anyways going to watch the women's open in Ottawa tomorrow and then paintballing sunday so im busy for the weekend but hopefully ill grind a ton of hands sunday night to get me back on track for the 40k hands mark
Also minor brag, my bankroll hit 20k today on party which i have to say is a pretty sexy sight. I hit the 20k mark earlier this summer then took some 5/10 shots, got killed, and cashed out a bunch and moved back down to 2/4 so nice to see the roll back up there imo

Money Won: $ 12,588 | | | | So my gf took a couple of days off work during this week so i could help her move a bunch of her things into her house for school as well as build the biggest, most ridiculous closet organizer that was missing half the **** we needed from IKEA so of course we had to drive like an extra hour and a half just to get some stupid pole that missing. I friggin hate that store, as purely a business model its great because it needs a minimal amount of staff to run such a huge store but as a store i frickin hate it. Half the stuff you buy from them need hardware that is not only NOT included but there store doesnt even sell hardware of any type...so friggin dumb.
Anyways IKEA rant over the couple days off have killed me in terms of keeping on pace for hands played but im confident that i can really grind the next couple weeks and knock off this 40k hands goal. I started the month without setting a monetary goal because as far i'm concerned there's no way you can control that but yesterday i had my biggest day ever winning just shy of 5k. Been absolutely tearing 3/6 apart and am game selecting 5/10 pretty well. Only played 22 hands there on the month and have just been picking up hands against the fish i was chasing and have won $1500.
Anyways life is good and ill leave you with the graph so far this month
