So i have decided to start a blog up, and i figured leggo would be a good place to call home

I am going to try and update it monthly. Aswell as my poker results / interesting hands my blog will include a good bunch of non-poker related content, hope you enjoy the blog, sorry if its not your cup of tea.
A bit about me, i am a 28yr who lives in Newquay, SW UK. Newquay is on the coast of Cornwall and has some good waves nearby, so if i'm not playing poker you'll usually find me in the sea surfing. After a surf i always feel refreshed and better, ready to play. So as well as being as being something i love doing its definitely +EV for my poker aswell.
For my poker i play mainly 50/100nl on the Prima network atm. This month has been pretty bad, ran 1K below EV over around 40K hands, but finished well with a +10 buyin day right at the end playing 50nl, (gotta post a brag graph its my first blog)
Also have been talking a lot of poker with a really good mid stakes player in the last few months. Just the exposure to his thought process has helped me improve so much, so i want to say thanks Jon your a legend.
HALLOWEEN
I think my friend Lucien said it best, "Halloween in Plymouth is better than Christmas."
4 years ago a couple of my friends came up with the idea of having a skateboad contest at halloween, it started off as a really small event with just 20 or so people going out skating in fancy dress, drinking some beer and skateboarding around the streets / skateparks of Plymouth (my hometown about an hour away from Newquay). Halloween Hammers was born (a hammer in skateboarding means a crazy trick btw.) Well every year the event gets a bit bigger and better. Last year we added a beer staff event. This involves taping every can you finish to the bottom of the new can. Wizard status is achieved by going over head height.
This year over a hundred people showed up, we had DJ's in the skatepark, and had a nightclub rented out for an afterparty. There was also a chilli eating competetion, results in some serious pain for all involved due to a 2.5 million Scoville unit chilli liquid being one of the ingredients (thats how hot it is - 2.5million means its about as hot as common pepper spray). All kinds of crazyness went down. Nice one everyone involved. Congratulations to Kristien Harris who took home the hammer this year. Heres a few pics:

On a sad note i have to end by giving a shout to pro surfer (and one of my favourite surfers) Andy Irons (3x world champ) who unexpectidly died of dengue fever a few days ago. He was only 32 yrs old and one of the most creative surfers who ever lived. Heres a clip of Andy shredding just a year ago:
