Hi Leggo,

"Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more" while a shakespeare quote may be a little cliche, I think it typifies my poker experience for the past three four years. I won't bore you with a lengthy run down of my life story safe to say it has been a roller-coaster ride of playing well...losing a bit steaming and busting my account...I know same old right?

Having graduated from Exeter uni with a degree in Economics (barely held onto my 2:1 thanks to preferring 21 hour sessions to lectures) I decided not to follow my dreams to play poker full-time. Instead I now work for an ISP selling their layer two network products...Not my idea of fun or fulfillment, and I have my 3 month probation period coming to an end this Friday...to quit or not to quit? Would love to have some of Leggo's perspectives on this one!

My playing at the moment is purely PLO and for the most part am playing HU and some 6-max thrown in there for times when im too tilted to play HU. My results in the last month have been decent, since the beginning of January I am up nearly 2000$ playing mostly 10.25 and 25.50 however my biggest pot came from the following....thoughts and feedback would be much appreciated:

My pokertrackes is currently broken so bare with me on the lame way of writing,

Hero: C/O $670
BTN: 650
SB: 587
Hero opens 18 with A9dd 83ss
Btn flats 18
SB three bets 62
Hero and BTN flat 62

Flop: A2hh9c SB checks, Hero checks, Btn checks,
Turn 2c: SB leads for 145, Hero flats BTN folds,
River 4s: SB shoves 380 Hero Calls
Villain shows KK84cc

Now given the wet nature of the flop I still expect Villain to be betting all AA combos apart from maybe AAKxhh, and his tight nature over the past few hundred hands didn't think he was very likely to have many 2 or 35 combos, and therefore think I made a good play by simply flatting and accepting the loss if he has me crushed.

Any feedback on this spot in particular would be very much appreciated!

My goal is to now buckle down and simply play low stakes HU and largely bum hunt the shortstacks who are extremely prevalent at this level! Any fellow Leggo players who pay these stakes help would be much appreciated as I still have a lot of errors to iron out, not least my BR management!

Good luck to all at the tables and have a killer 2012!
