#1 Stars now has a $4000 cash bonus for 250.000 FPPs, which is almost as good as the concierge rate. i'm not a supernova right now but going to be one at the end of the year. so i will have a ton of FPPs to spend thus this bonus makes it a lot easier to convert your FPPs to cash.

#2 Stars Promo: Only played 2.5 days during the double VPP promo. The games were really really nitty and full of regs. i guess for most people this promo was actually -EV, even though it was kind of fun to play against a table full of regs and accumulate a ton of VPPs. I managed to breakeven which was good for my confidence that was a little bit down after the last month. I don't play any tournys so the second promo doesn't affect me directly, we will see what the last two weeks have to offer.

#3 I visited the Summerjam, europe's largest reggae festival, last weekend which was the reason why a played only 2.5 days in the first week. Some of the artists I saw:

**** June. First half of the month was total crap. Did not play much cause i had some stuff to do for university and the European Football Championship started on June 7th. I watched all 16 games so far and going to watch all 15 remaining games. So besides not having played much i played pretty bad overall. i have become a huge calling station and made some randowm spewy plays. going to work hard the rest of june to improve my game and fix some leaks, maybe even lay down TPTK at some point. i had some real life bs going on so this def hurt my concentration, hopefully the next weeks go better.

Got my second straight flush ever today. Had one royal in december 06 and a straight flush in spring 07. I played about 250k hands since then, def overdue. A few weeks ago a friend of mine had 1 royal and 2 straight flushs in one day, rigged.

MP1 is a 2+2 regular, i think its funny how confident he seems with his decision, which also shows a lack of respect for my game. who knows if he really had AA, but i think its a bad fold here

In October 06 i hit a few thousand hands breakeven stretch at 25NL, no big deal, but then i got sick of playing microstacks and began to take poker at least semi-seriously and moved up to 50NL. Started playing 1 table and really focused on making the right decisions. until the end of the year i played about 25k hands and made ~20 buyins, which was very nice.

at the beginng of 2008 my bankroll was a little over 2k on stars and i set a goal to make 10k $ this year. I slowly added more tables till i was playing 8 tables 50NL @ 3.5 ptBB in mid february, when i also started taking shots at 100NL.

also i ran deep in the saturday 20k VIP freeroll and got 1000$ for third place finish. lol donkaments

Since the start of april i am mainly playing 100NL @ 6.7 ptBB. It is funny that my winrate is 100NL > 50NL > 25NL. Move up to where they respect your raises i guess.

This week i took the first shots at 200NL, i doubt that my winrate is going to increase any further, but i am pretty sure that i have a decent edge when i continue to table select well.

I don't know why, but i decided to start blogging. The main reason is that since i left school 3 years ago i haven't written much in english and it gets worse every day, so i hope this blog is going to help me refresh my english. thanks to 2+2, family guy,how i met your mother, etc. reading und listening isn't a problem, but i rarely get the chance to speak or write in english. feel free to comment on this subject if you don't understand what i'm saying, so i can stop embarrass myself.

The other reason is, i guess it will be intresting for myself to read old blog posts in the future. as you see i'm writing this mainly for myself and i don't really expect this blog to be very intresting or attract many readers. but time will tell

I'm not a huge fan of giving away a lot of personal information on the internet, so just some basic informations: I'm a 22 year old male from Germany who studies geography at university.

I started playing poker in august 2006 at stars. i deposited around 50$ and started at .01/.02 NL and played some 3.4$ turbo sngs. untill october 2007 i didn't took poker really seriously and mainly played 25NL. Here is a graph of my microstakes career:
