Can you feel her heartbeat racing? Can you taste the fear in her sweat?
I turned 19 today and it was a great birthday. Got to spend time with my best friends and girlfriend and jam out. Today would be the first time that I haven't played poker in probably months. I made an effort to not play because last year I had a big losing day on my 18th birthday.
Tomorrow I'm driving down to the Hollywood Hardrock which is about a 90 minute drive to play a 150 buyin MTT and basically **** around with two buddies. I'm staking one of them 70/30 and the other one and myself are going to have 20% of each other. It should be a good time, and if one of us can take it down, it would make it that much better.
Up 11k so far in May and I've put in about 10-15 hours less than expected because my girlfriend is in town until we leave for Hollywood early in the morning. I'd like to make 60-80k in May and really bump up my Full Tilt bankroll via 5/10 cap and 10/20 Ante PLO which I feel play very exploitable.
I will update after the week and/or weekend. Hoping that those updates include a FTOPS event win. One can only hope. That 535 PLO on Saturday looks nice.

Went something like
+$15k on Pokerstars
+$8k on Full Tilt
I had no idea it was that much because I'm not that much richer than I was last month, maybe due to a new computer, paying the parents back for insurance and phone bills and various small indulgences that were completely necessary.
I've been playing primarily 10/20 and 25/50 the last 3 days and have made nearly $20k doing so which obviously turned my monthly numbers around.
I took my last exam of my 1st year at college today and am moving out today or Saturday so we shall see.
I've got grind on the mind this summer. I feel great things happening.
I started out my year thinking $100k was the goal.
After March I decided to up the goal to $250k
I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility to make $1M this year. It would be an incredible feat and I'm really willing to grind it out. I'm extremely confident in my PLO game and have really conquered any and all fears of playing higher with regs.
I'm satisfied with my April and didn't expect it to be the $40k month March.
May will be huge.
Good Luck all,
-Underoath57

What a great month. I can only hope that the rest of my year goes as this month has and I'll have made my $250,000 goal in no time at all. I guess I'll just get right into the pretty pictures and figures.

at around 8pm i was pissed off from busting early in the big majors on full tilt and pokerstars, as well as donking outta the 55r PLO stars tourny when i was doing very solid in that
well after buying into about 1700$ worth of sunday lol donkaments, i had 1 remaining, the stars 109 100k guaranteed freezout which had about 1500 runners..
my girlfriend stopped by and i was pissed off and she left after 5 minutes of trying to make me happy.. i appologized for this after she left.
several hours later i bust in 3rd for $15,120, erasing tourny deficits for the last 12 months and making me the wealthiest ive ever been.
i now have solid bankrolls on both full tilt and pokerstars and am unsure where to go from here
I've been killing PLO which i'll graph for everyone on April 1st, but i love donkaments and always have, and probably will end up mixing them in regularly
only problem with donkament grinding is the girlfriend and time it will take away from her, usually for me to bust with no monies to show.
I feel guilty when i ditch her for poker and don't win, i guess i'll have to start taking her out to nice dinners regularly and find more time to spend with her that's not poker-time
I can't wait for school to let out, i'll be moving from orlando back home, 2 hours away for the vast majority of the summer
back home is my dad, my best friend, and a relatively boring city so the tourny-grind becomes a far more realistic thing. I'll only be visiting orlando 1-2x a month for the girlfriend because shes doing summer sessions
We'll see.. i have some thinking to do with my newly robusto status.
Cheers to all and good luck

My next post should be April 1st, where I'll go in-depth reviewing my February and March hopefully. Several huge pots, shots at $10/20 HUPLO and even $25/50. Sexy graphs coming as well and some analysis of some of my bigger and better pots and plays. Should be some good reads/sights.
More to come...

was made today in 436 hands.
It broke down to:
Cap ($10/20 CAP $800) 9-handed PLO - 142 hands/ $3,581
($2/4) HU PLO - 294 hands/ $1,543.80
I played for about 2 hours 10pm-12am. This is among my highest winning days in my PLO career. I took a shot after yesterday going way under EV ( finished ~($3,400) which was pretty miserable considering i was up 1k twice. I lost most of it to whitelime who made a big donkey call on the turn calling 500 to win 1000 and he was < 20%. He knew where he was at, which was the biggest upset of them all. I'll play him again next chance I get with a decent size roll for whatever stake i play him at.
Anyway, that cap game was so soft. I only ran ~700 over EV for both levels so i earned the vast majority of it through making people look stupid.
Hand 1
I feel like I thought this one out really well. I was into both players' heads and was confident that I knew their thought process. I need to start thinking like this more often.

In other news...
My girlfriend and I are official. She's a lot of fun, likes me a lot, is very cute, and we have a lot in common. I really couldn't ask for much more. School is kicking my ass. I'm about to lose my tuition scholarship because of a mishap grade in a dual-enrollment class in high school combined with a lack of effort in college. I'm just not motivated because i have no direction. Poker gives me the sense of a fall-back which is a negative thing to have when you're me. Fall-back = right to be lazy when working on the primary. I need to get my **** together for the 2nd half of the Spring semester.
I've been reading Tucker Max over the last few months. That guy is ****ing hilarious, and his stories motivate me to have a certain confident mindset.
Short-term goals:
---Make ~$10,000 more in march which would total somewhere in the range of $14-15k total for the month
---Get on a sleepover schedule with the girlfriend because its been every night and its not healthy to spend that much time together
---Go shopping because its expensive to eat out every ****ing night. eating out = -EV, imo....

I finished 72nd in the $1k 2nd chance tourny this morning. It's still going on and it breaks my heart to see it continuing without me in it. I don't get nearly as angry as I used to about going deep and then losing. I feel like I've definitely lowered the level of tilt I reach given a really bad beat. It's all a perspective change, a paradigm switch. As soon as you realize that nobody is luckier than anyone else and that people may simply be luckier than you when it counts is a comforting thought. I read last year that so much of poker is WHEN you are lucky, whether it be a big hold or a big suckout deep in a some big tourny. Tonight, if my last hand had held in that race, I would have had a fair shot at the $350k first prize, but it didn't and I have no choice but to accept that. Taking a deep breath and recognizing that there are 2 ways to take a loss: 1) Get pissed off, tilt, blame luck, blame the site, blame everything except who's really at fault or 2) Accept that losing is part of winning in a game of great variance, move on, and get prepared for the next challenge. I think that after this weekend full of getting paid in big tournies but but falling short of the final table has taught me lessons that are priceless (although $350k is probably worth more). I know that eventually, whether it be grinding up Hu PLO or winning a huge tournament, I'll get that 350k.

So today I played for about 11 hours. the first 7 hours went something like 1800 hands -1.5k profits.
Regroup, move up, the rest of the day went something like 450 hands, +8k, for a massssssive day.
Graph of February 6th:
Variation of games here, including 5/10 FR, 6max, and primarily heads up wherever the big jumps are lol. Don't remember what i started the day doing, maybe some 1/2 HU or 6max.
As far as life goes, i have an exam in 10 hours, i have straight A's in school so far.
Girl situation that was previously mentioned will be resumed tomorrow when i join her and friends for her birthday. I hope things go well, I really have no idea what I want out of it, but I know that I currently want her. If all goes well, this may be the sickest 24 hours in history. I don't think I've ever had girl situation go well and poker go well in the same 3 day span, just can't seem to overcome that but HEY, i had the 2nd biggest winning day of my poker career today (1st was a 12.6k tourny win) so ANYTHING is possible! I'm just happy right now, funny how poker can **** with your emotions so much. Usually it means for more stress and aggravation, but right now I have this feeling of elation that only those that have experienced it can understand.

They're a little out of sync but it was like 10k profits. Good month, pleased with how it turned out, but not pleased with how it got there. Took too many random shots, didn't stick to 1/2 huplo enough despite my absolute ownage of the game. I want to get a solid 20 buyins of 1/2 under my belt in the 1st week of February and then take some shots at 2/4 and shortstacking 5/10. We'll see, updates to come.

Well, I disobeyed my own rule, but just this once because I felt the 6max 5/10 was softer than usual (I have notes on just about every regular, and I had no notes on this table). This hand was pretty standard, but it helped me go from even after 6 hours, to +1k.
