This weekend I did a
Leggocast on Black Friday. I first interviewed two Leggo coaches (Harangutang and RikaKazak) to get two different perspectives on how the new law enforcement affects the games they're playing. Then I was lucky enough to get the foremost authority on Black Friday on the show-- Carol the Lawyer. We ran through a bunch of things, but I'll bullet them quickly in case you are curious about any of them specifically:
1. A synopsis of the indictments.
2. Players getting their money back.
3. Sites that are available to U.S. players currently and the risks involved with them.
4. How this step affects the future regulation of online poker in the States.
5. Her thoughts on how the issue would eventually resolve.
If you are interested in anything concerning Black Friday, give this 'cast a listen. If you have questions, ask them in the Leggocast forum and I may be able to get Carol the Lawyer to address them. I know that no matter what walk of poker you were in, the new laws somehow impacted your job or hobby (or someone you know's job or hobby).
I'm not quite sure what to think about the Osama thing. He's dead, great. I can't really rally around everyone screaming "USA!" at the top of their lungs. It took us 10 years and countless resources to catch the guy, I can't imagine us thinking that we "won" in this instance. I know, it's a symbol for the country to rally around, whatever that means (really? takes something like this to get everyone fired up and loving each other?). I'm glad we got him, but it'll be sad that many people credit Obama for this. I like Obama, this is just credit where credit isn't due.
My ankle is healing up just fine, it's been 15 days and I'm walking around alright, only having pain when I really stress it, I'll probably start doing some rehab stuff to limit scar tissue sometime this week-- thanks for asking.
