I am really running out of titles for my blog (as well as repeating that I am running out of titles for my blog in my blog).

This past week went poorly. Real life is alright I suppose. I am trying to eat good and eating not so good but less terrible than I would be if I were not focusing on eating good at all. That seems to be the status quo. Vegas will be fun this summer, but it will also be toxic.

Poker was brutal again. I busted pretty quickly in the 25k, at one point he literally won eight out of eight pots that were over 1k . I ended up making a little bit of a comeback by winning some crucial all ins, and I actually just had to fade a six outer on the river after having the pair end of a flip for the chiplead. I keep feeling like I didn't play well in it, but realistically I think it was fine and I'm being results oriented by just getting trucked and making every second best hand.

Things went a little better in the $2500 HU, but we joked about how it's better to cash in the 25k than pretty much anything but first in the $2500, but one of them takes only 3 wins and the other takes probably 10 I'm guessing? So, I made day 2 of it (although I made an epic comeback at the end of day 1 after getting down 19400 to 600 in chips and winning every all in!) and went into Sunday with grand dreams. A bunch of positivity for 16 people left and me and Chewy being two of them (and the best two players in the field) and almost 200 dimes to first. Additionally, there was a $10k online tournament on Stars where first was seven figures. I normally hate online tournaments, but it was too good of a spot to pass up.

...it all ended poorly though. Me and Chewy both lost our first round matches and I busted relatively early in the $10k. Chewy got deep and KingDan made day 2 and got super coolered vs a monster donk to bust in the final two tables. Rough few days for the house when there were so many good things that could happen.

Sometimes it be like that though.

Once you really start playing MTTs you realize how high variance they actually are, but it makes a lot of sense for cash game players to take shots here and there.
I don't think I would be very happy if MTTs were my main game though, unless I ran insanely hot the first few years and then could just retire early and have everybody think I'm god due to survivorship bias.
