This'll be quite brief, just summarizing thw weekend for myself. Saturday didnt go great in the £300, went back and grinded my 16bb stack getting no real spots to do anything and ended up busting after an hour. It was really disappointing as that was defo my best performance and if my KK held at the end of day 1 i would have been in really good shape. In fact I would of had 80k, which is about the stack my friend Joe got 5k for in a chop 6 handed! Well done to him and his mad chop skillz

I then proceeded to get nowhere in the 200 after getting coolered by old women on my starting table, a lesson not to play anything but the nuts even getting 1000:1 on turn calls vs them learned there i think. Had a few beers and played in the 50, donked off in that in no time and proceeded to play 50p/£1 drunk with Joe and patonius. The table we decided to join were all good ppl except for 1 clown and they enjoyed us spazzing money around in their game. A lot of fun was had although i dont remember a huge amount.

As for now Il be back grinding uni all week coz i finish on the friday and have deadlines to meet. Il be going back home on the sunday and hope to mix in some online poker with my project stuff I need to do. Thats all for now, thx for reading.

Still in the £300 going into day 2. First prize is ~£14,000 which would be nice and theres 36/130 odd left. Unfortunately I only have 20k at 600/1200 after losing a hudge pot for >2x the average stack (35K) with KK<JJ but it was one of those cooler situations where if roles were reversed everything happens the same. Briefly a few highlights include:

Being labelled an aggrotard "internet kid" after raising 3 hands in the first round or so (<3 DTD regs),
Pretty much destroying another regs sole which i might go into later and hitting teh royal flush and stacking some foo.

Anyways im gonna go prepare by watching soccer saturday, so take care untils my busto/rant blog coming very soon!

Im just lol'ing at myself after reading my last blog. I said Id try to update more reguarly so here I am over a month and a half later oops.

Anyways the reason for this is Ive been super busy with uni work and have played very few hands online. Things are going pretty good overall but if i was to blog about anything in the last few weeks it would either be about quantum physics or me being drunk and dancing badly, I wont bore ppl with either.

One reason I decided to blog now is I'l be playing donkaments at dusk til dawn in nottingham over the weekend. I'l be playing the £300 on friday and if I somehow dont win that the £200 on saturday. If you're a masochist and playing lolivepokers there over the weekend lemme no! Despite excellent structures and large donk:me ratios expect a donkament rant in my next blog Link to festival details:

http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/festivalinfo.php?id=11

On another note Leggo is looking even more awesomer than normal. Grats to Rob/Patonius for winning the video thing. Ive known him for 3ish years now and hes a cool guy and a real sick poka player. Leggo members can defo expect some good vids from him in the future and his super duper amazing background production team

Until next time gl, Will

Today was a fun day. I got up early to play squash for the first time evar. It took me a while to get to grips with but by the end i was really enjoying it will prob get addicted to it pretty soon. I beat my more experienced friend in the last two games after getting hammered in the first 5 so that was a nice finish. Had lectures in the afternoon, including quantum information science, best and most interesting module at uni. Fortunately my final year project is in this field and it wont be a boring slog like a lot of other peoples. If anyone is into physics - new scientist type stuff they should def have a look into this sort of area.

Anyways I got home aching after squash and in pain after fcking my wrist up making some ninja saves in goal at 5 a side yesterday. Obv i couldnt do any work in this condition so deceided to come up with a plan for the pokers. Here are my rules for the forseeable future:

1) 100nl ONLY. No stupid moving up or PLO.
2) 4 tables max for a while. Concentrate on reads notes and good lines etc.
3) Think about poker more constructively when not playing. this will include more active participation in forums etc.

If anyone sees me violate these rules they have permission to give me a *****slap.

Before playing my session I perused the small stakes forum and replied to quite a few posts, it really put me in a good poker mindset and is something I will look to maintain in the future instead of fcking around on BBV or whatever. If anyone mathematically inclined could look over this post I made and tell me if my working is correct I would appreciate it.

http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/sma...calc-3817.html

Anyway with that said I went on a nice mini heater this evening:

I was thinking very clearly and made some folds i would never make when Im playing robotically and/or tilting. Thats all I got for now. Im gonna try and update a bit more reguarly and try to include some interesting hands etc in future.

Thanks for reading, Will

Just played a session of 100plo and it was kind of fun, definitely something different. I dont have PTO so heres a rough graph of proceedings:

Emphasis on plo swongs. I dont really know well how i played. Started off quite tight trying to play "properly" but thats pretty boring tbh so i thought Id try playing a higher vpip approach. I got in a few spots were i didnt know what to think at the time due to inexperience. I figured most of them out OK but heres one that im really unsure of:

Poker Stars $0.50/$1 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

CO: $224.20
BTN: $61.10
SB: $210.40
BB: $100.00
UTG: $57.35
Hero (MP): $210.95

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is MP with T 2 A A
1 fold, Hero raises to $3.50, CO calls $3.50, 1 fold, SB raises to $13, BB calls $12, Hero raises to $55.50, 1 fold, SB calls $42.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($127.50) Q 4 T (2 players)
SB bets $124.50, Hero raises to $155.45 all in, SB calls $30.40 all in

Turn: ($437.30) 2 (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: ($437.30) J (2 players - 2 are all in)

So theres a lot of money in preflop and Im getting pretty much 2:1 to call, but this is a pretty bad flop for me. In the end I thought 1) I has AA and 2) It looks like he wants a fold so hes probably got a draw like AKJx/89Jx or a hand like KKxxhh with the xx being something helpful to his hand. Obv I decided to call it off but i would imagine a fold might be for the best? Thoughts from anyone more experienced in PLO would be appreciated plz.

Otherwise I havent been playing much poker and probably wont do so until next week. Ive got a big night saturday at the Leeds student Union and im off to see my brother in York on Sunday for his birthday. When Im properly recovered Im going to start to play 100nl again and will try to update frequently and provide a few hands etc

Until then, take care and thanks for reading.

Sigh, another disheartening day.

Played some more 200nl, lost with QTdd on KJxdd, lost with AK vs hudge whale on AK99 for -$500 total, standard. We then notice our whale friend is partaking in a bit of the 2 and the 4 action. $$ signs in eyes and then within about 12 hands vs a reg AK<QQ in a sb/button scenario. Not happy with the beating my br has taken the last 2 days, im down ~1.8K and barely have enough to play 200nl.

I was gonna do the tilt cashout thing but now im not so sure, i dont need money atm and am considering my options. Im thinking of getting a coach and will have a look into that sort of thing. Prob wont play for a few days because i have some drinking to do on the weekend and maybe a live donkament this evening (ie more drinking). Il prob update after my hangovers gone, safe safe.

So having not played much poker recently but played some 200nl 6max today. Id been playing pretty much all 100nl before and was ready to move up, so I thought why not jump straight in today? Fck I wish i didnt:

- another buyin which PT didnt get.

That was over two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening after the england game (gogogo fat wayne btw). The afternoon games seemed a lot tougher to me, although i thought most players were very OTT with 3betting and just generally trying to fck with you for no reason. I lost $500there and Im not sure whther I was outplayed or card dead, probably a bit of both tbh.

In the evening I decided to play another session to see if I was thinking right and if not I would move back down for a bit. Games were a lot better and there was only one player who gave me any trouble (pokerpoopy on stars - he seemed v. good). This isnt a hand vs him but another reg I had no info on, he was 20/15 over 40 datamined hands and had probably seen me raise 3/10 hands since he had sat down:

Poker Stars $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (CO): $209.40
BTN: $214.05
SB: $195.55
BB: $242.00
UTG: $203.00
MP: $259.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is CO with A 9
2 folds, Hero raises to $8, BTN calls $8, 2 folds

Flop: ($19.00) 4 3 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $16, BTN raises to $48, Hero raises to $92, BTN raises to $206.05 all in, Hero calls $109.40 all in

Turn: ($421.80) 5 (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: ($421.80) 5 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: $421.80
Hero shows A 9 (two pair, Nines and Fives)
BTN shows Q Q (two pair, Queens and Fives)
BTN wins $418.80
(Rake: $3.00)

I thought at the time stacking off was standard because id been very aggro the last 30 or so hands but this guy hadnt seen all of them. Id expect bigger pairs to 3bet pre, esp. vs me at the time. I guess I thought TT was his most likely pair hand at the time and there was a lot more FD's and maaaaybe the odd under pair being goofy in his range. I guess looking at it now the board isnt hugely drawy (956 would be much better for me I guess) and folding is better without any history. I think Im too quick to give people credit for making moves and talk myself into these sorts of plays, especially when Im stuck .

Overall I felt I played well in the evening and just got super cooler-chimneyed several times:

Hand 1) vs drooler who Id seen take the same line and stack off with bottom pair previously

Poker Stars $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (MP): $310.90
CO: $203.00
BTN: $229.55
SB: $151.40
BB: $200.00
UTG: $200.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is MP with 8 8
1 fold, Hero raises to $8, 2 folds, SB calls $7, 1 fold

Flop: ($18.00) 7 8 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $16, SB raises to $32, Hero raises to $62, SB raises to $143.40 all in, Hero calls $81.40

Turn: ($304.80) 5 (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($304.80) 2 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $304.80
Hero mucks 8 8
SB shows J T (a straight, Seven to Jack)
SB wins $301.80
(Rake: $3.00)

Hand 2) vs some 30/10 splashy guy. On the river Im like wow 88 but decide folding is not an option

Poker Stars $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

SB: $225.40
BB: $205.00
UTG: $348.35
Hero (MP): $197.00
CO: $259.00
BTN: $200.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is MP with J J
UTG calls $2, Hero raises to $8, 2 folds, SB calls $7, 1 fold, UTG calls $6

Flop: ($26.00) 7 7 5 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $17, SB folds, UTG calls $17

Turn: ($60.00) 7 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $46, UTG calls $46

River: ($152.00) 8 (2 players)
UTG bets $112, Hero raises to $126 all in, UTG calls $14

He had 88

Hand 3) Maybe preflop is a bit loose?

Poker Stars $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

BB: $197.00
UTG: $179.35
Hero (CO): $292.90
BTN: $86.05
SB: $198.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is CO with Q K
1 fold, Hero raises to $6, BTN raises to $12, 2 folds, Hero calls $6

Flop: ($27.00) 6 Q K (2 players)
Hero bets $16, BTN calls $16

Turn: ($59.00) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $26, BTN raises to $58.05 all in, Hero calls $32.05

River: ($175.10) 8 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $175.10
Hero shows Q K (two pair, Kings and Queens)
BTN shows 6 6 (three of a kind, Sixes)
BTN wins $173.10
(Rake: $2.00)

And the mandatory running KK into AA for a stack and AA < AK for 150bbs which PT lost because I tilt closed my table.

Strangely Im not unhappy after the day, mainly because I think I played well for the most part, didnt spew too bad (couple of above hands are debatable) and was better than most players in the games despite being rusty. Il review some hands and stuff and play a bit more in the week. If i drop another K il prob just move down and try to rebuild. Thanks for reading and take care.

Another quick update. Got back from portugal on friday morning, had an awesome holiday there and stayed in a pretty balla villa complete with pool, en suites etc etc. It was 15/20 mins walk from the beach at Luz where all the places are huge and it looks like you have to be super wealthy to have a place there. Or just run super good and stay there for 10 days free . Il try and get some pics up on my next blog when i can get them off gf's camera.

After a couple of days back home im back at uni now and need to start work again. I feel like im still on hols and have no work ethic atm. Only poker i've played recently was last night at the new allea casino in leeds. The poker room looks to be slightly better run than the other ****tips round here so i be back at some point. Played a £30 double chance and busted i think 7th with 5 paid. tbh i cant remember a whole lot because id had a few beers before id started playing, and a few more per level.

I had to sit right under the air-con and was freezing and i somehow ended up wearing a bright red coat belonging to a nice older lady while playing. This and my general drunk/loudness levels resulted in some fun spots/exchanges. All the ppl at the table were generally easy going except two guys i guess were regs. One was a younger guy and i managed to tilt him within 15 minutes. He raised the co button called sb called i called from the bb with 56. Flop comes 345 i lead co he raises everyone folds and i drunk drop all my chips in (this is a pretty powerful but slightly douchy move, instead of sliding chips in just drop/throw them over the line, it insta tlits live players) The guy is visibly pissed and folds 99 saying he'll get me later. He turned out to be a pretty nice guy later on though so w/e.

The other guy played real real snug and was ok but was one of these live ppl who acts like hes phil ivey or w/e. He had apparently won £2.3k a night or 2 before so grats to him fwiw. Anyway the only hand of note i played with him is he limps behind a limper, i make a big iso over after a couple more limpers with JJ, everyone folds to him he makes a raise from 700 to 2.somethingk with 6k effective AND a rebuy in hand each. One thing to note is the previous hand he iso'd someone with 45ss and everyone was like LOL-lagplay. Anyways I shove quickly and he goes in to the tank forever, getting >2:1. I tell him hes obv FOS esp. given the previous hand. He tells me im overthinking the hand and ive read too many books (wat?). He eventually claims to fold AK because he didnt want to race at that point (double wat) although i think its pretty obv he made a pretty terrible move were he cant rep a thing. Everyone agreed he made a good laydown so LOL live poker wisdom i guess. Busto hand came some time after, nit limped i shoved, loose player called, nit reshoves (ut oh) loose guy had to call a few chips more. I have AK vs KK and JJ so could be worse. Obv I hit an ace and am about to drunk celebrate when the river comes a K.

I dunno how many live tournys il play in the next couple of months, I was thinking a few because the standard is lolbad, but on the other hand i think my hourly is probably higher on the internet but if a few mates start to play some decent sized tournys i might play a few and see if i can make something happen. That was much longer than expected so thanks for reading and il cy'all next time...

This'll be quick because Im getting a train back up to Leeds later and need to get sorted for holiday. Im going to Praia da Luz in Portugal with the girlfriend for 10 days on Tuesday. We have a pretty big villa with our own swimming pool and even a maid for the duration so thats gonna be pretty awesome. It'l be really cool to chill out in the sun and get some proper relaxation done before uni starts again.

Our team won the UPL tourny i mentioned in my last blog between us yesterday. Only 27 people played and we were the only team with 6 people there, giving us a pretty big advantage. The actual live part of the tourny had a £850 prize pool with $9.5k distributed online to the overall bestest team. The best team was decided by assigning points to each place 27th got 1 point up til 1st place getting 27 points with the top 4 people on each team scoring points.

I was the first to bust in 16th place and by the time the final table was sorted we'd pretty much won the thing so myself Rob (patonius on leggo/stars) and another team member jack had a few celebratory drinks and let people know how awesome we were etc while railing the FT. Pretty fun times and a lot of the others who showed up seemed good people so it was well worth going. Id probably write up a trip report of the tourny if i had the time, I played a few interesting hands and the overall standard of play was much better than expected.

Anyways, I gotta run, i wont be able to update til im back so il cya then

So the final of the UPL Dream Team (yah sounds pretty ghey) thing i mentioned a few blogs back is tomorrow. Myself, patonius and another mate are driving down to london tomorrow to ship the dough. I think the prize pool will be about 10k most of which goes to the team who ammass the highest finishes between them on the day. I dont think im being overconfident in saying we have the best team of everyone there but we have a starting chip deficit due to not playing the online qualifiers religiously. If all else fails it'll be a laugh regardless and at least I wont have to play the fckin qualifiers on fckin ipoker anymore (the software tilts me something horrid)

Heres a graph of todays 100nl'ing. Obv I ran pretty good, dont think i played amazing but did a good job of steadily grinding on at most 4 tables:

I didnt play many really interesting hands, heres one i posted which i am unsure of and i think a few different lines are possible:

http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/sma...html#post24708

Thats all for now, thanks for reading and gl.
