So having not played much poker recently but played some 200nl 6max today. Id been playing pretty much all 100nl before and was ready to move up, so I thought why not jump straight in today? Fck I wish i didnt:
- another buyin which PT didnt get.
That was over two sessions, one in the afternoon and one in the evening after the england game (gogogo fat wayne btw). The afternoon games seemed a lot tougher to me, although i thought most players were very OTT with 3betting and just generally trying to fck with you for no reason. I lost $500there and Im not sure whther I was outplayed or card dead, probably a bit of both tbh.
In the evening I decided to play another session to see if I was thinking right and if not I would move back down for a bit. Games were a lot better and there was only one player who gave me any trouble (pokerpoopy on stars - he seemed v. good). This isnt a hand vs him but another reg I had no info on, he was 20/15 over 40 datamined hands and had probably seen me raise 3/10 hands since he had sat down:

I thought at the time stacking off was standard because id been very aggro the last 30 or so hands but this guy hadnt seen all of them. Id expect bigger pairs to 3bet pre, esp. vs me at the time. I guess I thought TT was his most likely pair hand at the time and there was a lot more FD's and maaaaybe the odd under pair being goofy in his range. I guess looking at it now the board isnt hugely drawy (956 would be much better for me I guess) and folding is better without any history. I think Im too quick to give people credit for making moves and talk myself into these sorts of plays, especially when Im stuck

.
Overall I felt I played well in the evening and just got super cooler-chimneyed several times:
Hand 1) vs drooler who Id seen take the same line and stack off with bottom pair previously

And the mandatory running KK into AA for a stack and AA < AK for 150bbs which PT lost because I tilt closed my table.
Strangely Im not unhappy after the day, mainly because I think I played well for the most part, didnt spew too bad (couple of above hands are debatable) and was better than most players in the games despite being rusty. Il review some hands and stuff and play a bit more in the week. If i drop another K il prob just move down and try to rebuild. Thanks for reading and take care.
