Ascension1223I *will* have my own kingdom. - Griffith, "Berserk"
Well October has been disappointing, yet revealing. I had a losing month for my first shot at 50nl, and it was purely the fault of my own weaknesses as a player, more than a lack of fundamentals. I often find that each session goes extremely well with the exception of one or two key decisions that I make consistent errors in, and I think I might have come up with some likely weaknesses/ spews of mine.
1) Over-estimating moron equity 2) Over-estimating dynamics (these two stack with me I think) 3) Developing FPS/MUBS tilt depending on my results 4) When I play alone, I play B poker, when I play in a sweat I play A poker, so I don't learn as much, or I autopilot alone or I am overconfident or ALL THE ABOVE My goals for November: 1) Go the entire month without playing a hand for stacks in which I have not spent the majority of my time reasoning out my play/justification BEFORE I review it when I'm broke. 2) Play > 20k hands, I play 19k this month and I think it was a function of how busy I am, but I still have space for more play. 3) Book a solid winrate for this month, though I don't like naming a dollar amount, I want to be above $2000 for the month, which I think is plausible for >20k hands of solid play at 50nl for me. A favor from Leggo: Anyone who is a winning player at 50nl+, I would love your input in my blog and to arrange a sweat. Obviously a few of you out there I have had sessions with and I learned a lot from them, garbageman, XTR1k, and obviously, I hope to make maximum utility of my coach, Probability. Mostly though, I think the responsibility is on me to develop, and I will try and get myself into A form for the rest of the year.
