Okay...so I have never blogged before, and doubt that anyone will read my blog, but here goes...

So, in my career (which is sales oriented), I am constantly reminded that I have to set goals so I have something to shoot for and a defined target to try and achieve. This has worked wonders for me in my business life, and until now, I don't know why the hell I have never made a plan for my poker life. I have played for a long time (at small stakes), but over the last month or two have really realized how much I have to learn and the strong desire I have to take my game to a new level (hence my recent subscription to LeggoPoker as one of several tools). So, for my first blog, here are my starting goals:

A few starting points:
I have a strong desire to learn and grow my PLO game. I absolutely love this game and want to become a strong player. So, after some research and my current online bankroll, I will be starting to play/grind PLO25. I started this a couple of days ago with a 40 buy-in bankroll and will not move up to the next level until I have 40 buy-ins at that level.

Month of December:
-dedicate one hour per day for growth in knowledge of the game (this can be through online videos, books, forums, discussions, etc.) but this must be time that I am thinking about various aspects of not only PLO but poker in general
-play at least 3 hours per day, six days a week (I have a pretty flexible schedule so this should not be an issue)
-spend 15-30 minutes post session to review any hands/spots that come up during the course of play and find a way to learn from those specific situations
-grow my bankroll by 25% - which I think is very attainable

So...there it is. My first blog, and the first time that I have ever been cognizant about where I want my game to head and how I want to manage a bankroll. I will post updates and would appreciate any thoughts/comments anyone might be willing to share.

Until next time...good luck and crush the tables...
