After reading a comment by Probability on one of thac's blog posts about sacking up and playing 2/4, I decided to do that and play primarily 2/4 during June.
The good news is I am now far more comfortable playing there. The bad news is I didn't do too well. I ran $3k below allin equity for the month on 2/4, which is totally standard for me this year. That takes the year to date total to around $12k on 2/4. It's fairly hard to move up when that happens continually. Here's the graph and stats: ![]() ![]() Add $1.4k rakeback to that to take it to about a $4.5k month. It was very disappointing to end the month on that downswing. I'm also edging gradually closer to finally getting off my ass and getting a coach. In non poker news, I finished my first semester of study this year (Accounting). Just got my results and maintained my 91 average from last semester. Really didn't deserve it though, missed a lot of classes and didn't put much effort in. I guess I wasted running good on my classes rather than poker. Definitely going to need to step up next semester as I've heard there are a couple of difficult classes. Got back from Mt Buller last weekend, was up there for a week. Unfortunately we just had the hottest June in like 50 years and there was no snow for the first 4 days. When it did snow later in the week it wasn't much. Fortunately the hotel we were staying in was excellent and there were some nice restaurants up there. It was revitalising to get out of the house away from poker and the internet for a week and spend some quality time with the fiancée. GL during July, and I will leave you with a picture of the view from our hotel room ![]()
