Playing out of the blinds

One leak i have realised in my game is that i often call too much out of the SB and BB with marginal hands, i think that im going to make it a focus of mine to play much more tighter out of the blinds, in the next upcoming sessions,... Two losing hands that could have been avoided due to this ...

I also think i might drop down to 25nl to continue to work on my game and not cost my self so much money while rebuilding the flaws within my game. I have once again got destroyed over the recent days, but it doesnt matter because all i care about is improving my game at this point and learning from my flaws and other ppls advice whether it be coaching or hand discussions on the leggo forum!
Maybe it wont hurt to do a few sweat sessions..
As much as i am heartbroken about losing every session i play i am enjoying how involved im getting in the game...

I don't think you're calling too light with either of those, just shitty luck. Maybe the J8 hand you could have gotten away from on the river. If not it's definitely a c/c and not a c/r. He is representing nuts the whole way.

However, I also have the same problem. I always find myself getting into stupid spots oop with like middle pair or some sort of weird bottom pair/gutterball combo, and end up pissing away more money than I should. I'm sure a lot of people have the same problem and could take your thought process and apply it to their own game. But remember to stay aggressive in bvb spots.

I almost always fold or 3 bet the J8s and 89s is a pretty loose call for me preflop as well. I could just be tighter than most though.

yeh just 3bet everything out the blinds, especially the small blind. then get good at reading board textures, when to fire/ how many streets/ how much to bet etc

yeah don't call either of them. 98s can be called if he hadn't made it so big preflop. like a 3x raise you could call. i still don't tho

i don't think it's bad to call 89s in that spot, however the j8s has to be either 3 bet or fold and i'd lean way more towards just muckin it

Interested to hear if people still think it's better to 3-bet a lot from the blinds with hands like KJ AJ AT to co/btn open if you decide to play them readless in a vacuum. I think I do better 3-betting a depolarized range for now against people I don't play a lot against. I flat 88-TT but I might even do better 3-betting those than flatting. I don't 3-bet co opens or call that light though because usually people are pretty tight from the co and I hate playing against a 22% open range oop.
