past week or so i have been on spring break, cards are going well and its great seeing all my friends and family. been playing a good amount of 25 50 and doing well, so i can not complain. i feel like my games really getting better day by day now, and i can see the improvement. my mom goes in for her surgery tomorrow so hopefully everything works out with that. gl all, brian

past few days have been up and down nothing too exciting. playing 10 20 pretty consistently now but still 5 10 mostly with occasional 25 50 shots. perdoom addressed me in my friends seanw35's blog saying im not very good.. well sir +80k since jan 1 while going to an ivy league school and playing D1 football..this is while running bad and losiung 5 of my last 15 allins preflop with AA.. and like 60k in tourney cashes? so idk man good for u if u r doing better but i seriously doubt u r being that i dont even have u in my pokertracker database this year, so what stakes r u playing? but whatever enough of that. pretty pumped got an email yesterday from a lady that works at merrill lynch in new york wanting an interview. not bad for 2nd semester of college. cant say i love college but definitely appreciate the doors and options its going to open for me. since last blog im up about 10k just grinding away and about to play another session now ill keep u updated. later

tonight decided to play some 25/50..feel like i have been playing pretty well of late and the games appeared to be pretty soft, so took a shot. booked a nice win of about 9k over a few hours(despite a -11k pot w AA vs KK who hit his set on turn). overall pretty happy with my play. had two mid terms today, in econ and literature. i doubt either went very well as i have been to 1 econ class and read none of the 8 novels for lit so far. whatever though ill be happy with a C in both, especially because i pass/failed econ. got my last mid term tomorrow, spanish, which shouldnt be hard, than im home for a week and a half spring break. not going to be the best break though as a lot of crap has come up lately. had a childhood friend die a few nights ago in an accident so tomorrow night is his wake, followed by me needing dental surgery on st pattys day, and my mom needing surgery to remove breast cancer she was diagnosed with 3 weeks ago. trying to stay positive but its hard, got a lot on my mind. anyways im out i got an early morning tomorrow but take care all and gl at the tables, brian

hey all, names brian, play under brianm15 on stars.. figure that since im going to start taking poker more seriously i might as well start a blog. i like alot of the players here and play with them often on stars so i figure why not here. well about me a little big im 18, started playing about 3 years ago online.. ran it up to 40k probably 4 times in high school, but obv had no BR management and blew alot of it, luckily cashed out a good bit as well, so pretty financially set for my age. got about 34k online right now for 5/10nl on stars and occasional shots at 10/20.. no 25 50 for a while, gonna try to do this right.

anyways, im a freshman at columbia in NY, originally from central NJ. always looking for home games around these areas so let me know. i play nose tackle here at columbia, and love football and i think that discipline has carried over to poker. currently up about 70k since 1/1/2008 and going to try to do it big for the year. school/football takes up alot of time, but i play when i can, and look forward to blogging much more about poker/life and whatever else. take care all and gl, brian
