Got back a couple weeks ago from a trip to the Pinehearst, NC area. Went on a mini golfing vacation with my 3 roommates from college. The trip was an absolute blast and the most fun I've had in awhile. We played 3 golf courses, including Tobacco Road which is apparently a pretty famous golf course. One of the top rated in the U.S. It was pretty damn hard, but I somehow managed to shoot better there than the other 2 courses. Shot an 84, 99, and 87 for my 3 rounds. I am a very streaky golfer and basically either shoot in the low-mid 80s when I'm playing well or blow up in the high 90s when I am playing bad. Here's some pictures:

Golfed a few more times up here, but have been playing terribly and have been putting in ~1.5k hands/day on Merge. Games are fairly shitty and its hard to find times when the games are good and there aren't massive waitlists for all the games so its kinda hard to put in volume there. Might give up and just cash out my roll soon and look for some other options. I have been working out pretty consistently for the last few months and I am starting to see some decent results. My stamina and strength was abysmally low when I started. I have never been overweight, but I have always been in pretty shitty shape from generally being lazy and not doing much physical activity (its a hazard of the job I guess). I started going to the gym 4-5 times/week and jogging as a warm up and then doing some weight training. I really neglected doing any lifting with my legs because, come on, who wants to work out your legs. I figured my jogging was enough but I am definitely going to start working them into my weight lifting routine now. I have gained pretty considerable strength in my upper body now though and I can jog 3 miles in under 30 minutes pretty easily. It may not sound like much but when I started I could barely jog a mile without being totally gassed and having my shins burn like crazy. I really plan to focus on legs and core work in the coming month. Here's a sweet new song. Can't wait for his new album.
