edit may25 - revised schedule! threw in the 1k NL stuff and dropped a couple mixgame stuff (NL2-7, PLO8)

====================

This looks like my planned schedule, now I just have to find a place to live during the summer in the desert. Nothing set in stone regarding events but there's a lot of value in all of these and they're spaced out nicely so I can have some balance and not go crazy from playing too much live poker this summer.

You will notice I didn't include low-buyin NL stuff; as I've said many times I don't think there's a great deal of value in the low buyin NL stuff. Structures are meh, and it's 10 handed for most of day1 (the time when there's actual play in the structure). And anything 6max or HU has too many people who play like myself. And no 2-7 TD because, surprisingly, that field is full of sickos. They need to make the buyin $1500 instead of $2500.

We will see if this bumhunting WSOP strategy pays off :]

haha, i love this strategy. i wouldn't expect there to be tremendous value at this point in live nlhe tournaments other than the main. lots of free and cheap strategy, as well as dubious structures and high variance make it a tough going. many many people end up pretty disappointed each summer trying to bink a bunch of hold em events.

playing a bunch of different forms of poker is probably way more fun than grinding it out, and push-botting in hold 'em. how did you learn?

good luck

there's a lot of draw content on deuces cracked for learning the basics. beyond that it's just putting in the hours. last summer there was a 12/24 mix at aria with a lot of the releveant mix games, so it was a good spot to put in hours and blow off steam from busting in tournaments. plus there's a local 20/40 mix which goes every now and then.

and yeah, limit is more fun. you can talk at the table, everything more friendly and casual. stud is 8handed, the mix tournaments are like 6 or 7handed. lots of space to gamble and talk with friendly people.

and ty!

i think you are wrong about edges in 1500s/1ks. if you're lucky enough to get deep in one, you are going to be playing huge stakes against lots of fish who are scared money

Nice schedule, but play more NL's if you are able to retain your sanity. GL stud.
