without 9h, might not be that bad actually. + the K is not a heart so you have pretty many Kxhh too.

I mean are you calling with KJ/KQ on that river when only draw missing is low gutshot if he even calls pf/flop with that and it was 3way. HU pot this is no brainer bet w/99.

I couldn't c back this, but you should atleast consider.

Fair points on the 9h and Kh, though there aren't that many Kxhh in most people's ranges from UTG I don't think. AKhh, KQhh, KJhh, K9hh I think is reasonable to assume. If I can have AKhh then he should probably be betting as a default strategy. Then there is 98hh, 97hh, J9hh. BB is pretty weak so I think it's fair to assume I'd be openeing up my ranges when he's in the blinds. So let's say he can get value from KTs and AK when I have it. KTs are 2 combos and lets say 25% of AK so 3 combos for AK makes 5 combos total. So yea it's closer than I thought at first glance and his overall range is gonna be pretty strong in that spot so his check isn't that bad for his range.
Just felt super weird with his turn half pot bet not to bet the river. I guess in the future I'll just have to be turning my KQ into a bluff here :P so I can get value from a backdoor flush against a set .

Well what does your hand look like in villians shoes after you open utg, bet flop and c/c turn? I'd probably check behind there a good bit of the time too with good reads.
