In my last 10k hands I have dropped 10 buy-ins and slowly made them back. I'm running above all-in EV and refuse to feel guilty about it, I can't remember it happening before.

Some friends and I went to a sculpture park on a cold, damp Sunday. In the cafe, someone had in there pocket one of those miniature knitted beanie hats they gave away with innocent smoothies for a while. We were debating whether they had any use value. Too big for a kids action man toy, too small for a cute pet accessory, barring a hamster perhaps. Anyway, while we were ambling through the park suddenly it made sense what we had to do.



The glove was already there when we arrived, I might add.

Life news is that I've joined a newly opened gym that is literally 30 seconds walk from my apartment. Its open 24 hours which is really useful for the nocturnal poker player. My goals here are to loose some body fat and work on being able to string a few pull ups together.

My best friend from school days clean broke his jaw playing football (soccer). He's just had it pinned back into place and will be wearing an external brace. I think he'll be drinking food through a straw for a while. He was in a lot of pain and is very thankful for the existence of morphine. I think he's the most accident prone person I know with multiple knee ops to his name already.

Poker news is I've been on a nice 40BI upswing this month. My goals for the next few weeks are as follows.

-Make enough so that I can withdraw some extra monies in order to hire a car over Christmas. Both my family and the girlfriend's live in different parts of rural Yorkshire (England) so I'm planning ahead this year.

-Play enough volume to take advantage of the palladium level bonuses on party poker.

-Finally accept that its probably a good idea to stop playing when you're at risk of tilting your tits off. A good example is when someone pulls the plug on their internet for the second time in a 3 bet pot to see if their draw hits... and gets there.
