Right here goes with my first blog. I'm going to make this relatively short and not give much information about myself as i hope that the more i update this blog the more a picture of my life and poker career will begin to emerge.

Ok then what's with the title of this blog? Empire State of Mind. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how important i feel a winning mindset is. At life, Poker and ANYTHING. If you have doubt or no drive to be successful you cannot be successful. This goes for anything in life. And again as in poker it comes down to that dude who works his ass off being "Really lucky". Luck is earned.

When i play poker i want to win so badly...This passionate drive for success i feel has made me into a profitable poker player and this same underlying feeling to be the best is i'm sure what got anyone who is successful at what the choose to do where they are now.

Now to what i've been up to....Not really interesting - just played a small stakes cash game with friends, had some beers and made a profit.....More importantly sorted out a golf game for 2morow and plan to go back to University (Swansea) on Thursday! Saw the GF yestaday and went swimming, jaccuzi, sauana etc....Today we had lunch and a cuppa in town.

To conclude my first entry. If you feel any doubt about you winning at any poker game - don't bother sitting down.
