For those of you thinking about purchasing it, it is well worth the money. I live outside the US and the cable channels are very restricted and I can't get Directv, so my only option is mlb.tv. I will say that it is far and away better than I was expecting. The quality is amazing, and you can watch ANY game that you want, in ALMOST HD quality.

Being able to watch your favorite team play every game is fantastic and well worth the 120 bucks.

Hey everyone.

So I have a weight loss prop coming up with some of my buddies, and I was hoping maybe some of you guys have suggestions on odds, and suggestions on how to take my friends for as much money as possible. Basically, I'm 6 feet tall, and weigh 195 pounds. In college, I weighed between 150 and 160 and want to get back down to that weight, or somewhere close.

My buddies are giving me a month to get to 160. Is it even possible to lose that much weight without starving myself? At this point, I don't really work out at all, so I'm assuming just doing that will have a pretty big impact the first month.

At this point, they won't give me any better than 3 to 1 odds, which I think is outrageous. Does this seem reasonable to you guys? If not, what are the odds you would give one of your friends, or how much time would you give them at 3 to 1. A lot of you have a better idea of how much weight can be lost in specific periods of time, so I'll rely on your expertise to come up with a good number to go with. Hopefully I hear some good news from you guys.

I've come to a crossroads with my poker career. I've been getting absolutely crushed as of late, both live and online. It's gotten to the point where I honestly don't feel like playing, because I know I'm just going to give my money to everyone else at the table, no matter how good I get the money in. The absolute tipping point for me occurred in a live MTT today when I got it AIPF with KK vs QQ and 44, and BOTH the Q and 4 hit. I just got up and didn't say a word and walked directly out of the casino. I'm usually one to say "nice hand, good game, good luck" and go hit up a ring game, but this time I just couldn't.

I'm officially taking a 2-3 week break from poker. I need to be away from the tables and just not take the losses (or wins for that matter?) for a while. I'm still going to be doing some studying/HH so hopefully I'll be able to find some leaks and really figure out what the shit is going on with my game. I'm just going to focus on everything EXCEPT for playing. Hopefully I'll get some of this worked out, and will get my mind straight by the end of next month, as there's a super soft "major" live tourney in town, and I want to be sure I'm ready to go with full confidence.

Sorry for the rant, but I just had to vent and get the frustration out. Also, I now have everything down in virtual print, so people can hold me to my word.

See everyone around the forums

I have the end of this week off work and was planning on playing a ton of poker, particularly FTOPS. I was going to play in the 6-max FTOPS today, but after busting the 5th hand of event #1 (See Blog Entry titled "God Damnit") I decided that I'm going to wait and try to satellite into the ME otherwise I'll just skip them all together. I forgot how much they aggrivate me. Since I didn't play in event 2, I played in a $44 6-max on PS and final tabled. AK<99 for 4th and my first "major" cash. It's really disappointing when you get that far and come up short. I'm not complaining tho - great for confidence as well as experience. I felt like I was making good moves and just playing a solid game overall. I played fairly conservatively in some spots (see hand 1 below) that might have changed the outcome, but can't dwell on the past and have to learn and move on.

Tomorrow I plan on playing a bunch of cash in the morning. Then in the afternoon I'm playing golf with a couple buddies before hittin the town. Should be a fun day.

Stay good.

Hand 1:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 44 Tournament, 1500/3000 Blinds 300 Ante (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button (t133893)

Hero bets t19600, Button raises to t60000, Hero folds

Total pot: t72300

Busto Hand: I feel like this was played poorly by me. I guess maybe 3-bet to something like 40-45K? Also, I don't understand the re-raise by villain. Does my raise amount give my hand away (i.e. want to raise but not too big in case I don't hit the flop - therefore AK)?

Up about 8 BI at 25NL today I found that I was able to keep myself out of bad positions for the most part, and when I didn't know where I was at in the hands I generally trended toward folding in spots where in the past I would call. I'm a very curious player so this is a big step, imo.

Played a bunch of Sit-n-gos and made a little more. I find that I consistently cash in 6-max sit-n-gos so I might try to play some more of those along with cash. I know I should focus on cash or tourney, but it's just so easy to fire up a couple in the background and just wait for big hands. Oh well.

Tonight is a buddy's birthday so we got a party bus and are gonna tear it up. Hopefully I'm not too hungover tomorrow cause I wanna try to play some of the Sundays - even tho it's like lighting money on fire. You never know when you're gonna shiiiiiiip.

Here's a little hand from today. I literally laughed out loud.
