Yesterday was a big tournament day because there was a 2.5k FTOPS. I quickly ran up my 6k starting stack to 17k stack for top 10 in chips. All was going well, until after an ep raise and two calls I squeeze QQ. The opener folded and both flatters called.

I bet 2222 into 4k planning on getting it in, the first villain from spain re-raises to 8k and than the other guy insta shoves. I end up folding because 3 ways my hand is not great and the second flatter shoved so fast he was obviously huge. The first raiser had 88 and the cold 4bettor had 45s for the nuts. Its a pretty annoying spot because if the cold 4better had any of his hundreds of combos that did not flop a straight I end up getting it in for a 30k pot with 90% equity instead I'm down to 12k. Than I lost another 10k pot with AQo vs AKss on A23ss. AKss opened and I peeled the BB we were only 40bbs so I decided c/r get it in was best because he spazzes with all his flush draws and never folds any ace, unfortunately he had me completely dominated.

I lost a bit more of my stack when I called the SB vs a button open with KQ. The flop was QJ8 and i check called. The turn was a blank and I check called again. The river was a 9 he shoved and I folded. I can maybe fold turn, its certainly a tough spot but he can have a lot of value hands and its a good board to bet 3 streets on. The fact that he shoved river makes me like call more because I'm pretty sure the only hand he vbets on the turn that also bets river is 9T. Down to a little over 4k I shoved over a highjack open from a very loose spanish player with ATo, its certainly +ev but my stack has some playability so it might be better to wait, he ended up calling with 77 and rivered a flush vs my top pair busting me. Certainly an annoying tournament as after building a huge stack I just slowly grind it down without really making any mistakes.

Luckily for me there were other tournaments running. I came 15th in the 109 rebuy after losing a 300k pot with TT vs 89s on 674r which was annoying for sure. However I ended up final tabling 3 tournaments, the 250 super turbo, the 215 turbo, and the 150+13 50k GTD. All those tournaments had pretty bad structures so there was not much play but I'm happy with my decisions and just wish I could have won a few more all ins. With my two 5ths and 7th I ended up cashing for 18k which gave me a nice 13k profit for the day.

I also played an EPT prague sat and won a seat which was great, Despite the sucess it will be the last time I play one of those in a while, they are so high variance, and high stress as you need to sweat allins for 10k bubbles. As well a lot of your decisions are very counter-intuitive and playing them just ends up being very annoying and mentally not worth it.

When I had 16k in the 2.5k It was not really what I expected for the day but ultimately 3 final tables and a prague seat is a pretty great day so I'm happy.

Today is a huge mtt day with two 2.5 million gtd tournaments so hopefully I keep playing my A game and win some allins at final tables.
