Hi all I made my first Leggo video that should be up soon and I'm very excited for your thoughts on it. I'd like to blog maybe 3-4 times a week if you have any suggestions about what you'd like me to post about let me know. Otherwise I guess I'll just post as the spirit arises within me. I also am available for coaching, I'd like to do a lot of that in the near future, I've always enjoyed teaching and helping others, naturally I'm making videos for Leggo so that's apparent =p. If you want to see my results last year you can watch my first vid I did a 3 min intro showing some results in my HEM.
This month has been a bit of a roller coaster month results wise. Haha the first day of the month I was down 5k in about 2 hours hands at 1-2 through 3-6 NLHE and PLO. I managed to grind it down to like 4k at the end of the day in 8.5 hrs. However for the first time in a long time I wasn't playing my A game or at least VERY close to it. Being stuck so much did motivate me to play but I played too long. The first session I played like 2.5 hrs, 2nd session 6 hours, and for me personally I can play up to 3-3.5 hrs before I get fatigued or mentally tired, so that was a leak. Strangely for me being stuck is good for me in a lot of ways and I've realized because it lits a fire in me. I want to play more and work harder away from the tables, whereas when things are coming easily I can get a little bored. Clearly this is something I need to fix, ideally it'd be optimal if i'm motivated all the time no matter the results, identifying a leak is the first step to fixing it, so i'm going to make a concerted effort to do so. Since everyone likes graphs here's my month so far, i'm up 11 buyins, but unfortunately they're at the lower stakes mostly, nevertheless I'm glad I've dug myself out of the early hole.
Also since I love you guys I'll go as far as to show the EV line on the graph clearly you guys have a hold over me. Haha, jk but I actually prefer not to look at all in EV, or even results that often. I do look at my results after the session moreso for bankroll reasons to see if I can take shots higher or have to move down etc. However the reason I don't like looking at EV lines is if you're above EV often it makes you feel maybe you didn't play as good as you actually did, and if you're below ev you feel like you have got screwed. Clearly those are false feelings, but I mean the way I look at results is they are meaningless short-term, I try to focus entirely on my play, so all in ev is just another distractor. If I had it my way I'd never look at results, my goal is always just think about the game of poker not what i'm winning or losing.
I play about 7-9 tables of NLHE and PLO 6 max these days, I get less hands per hour in PLO, I've played 15 hours this month so it translates to what looks like about 575 hands/hr with on average 8 tables I believe. I also do play some HU starting games etc.
