Play ~1k hands today. Had a good run, played good for the most part. Donked off one BI which sucked, but I've learned that lesson (hopefully). Mostly ran well when all in pre vs shortish stacks, held QQ vs AJ, KK vs QQ and AK hit against JJ. Too bad they weren't full stacked.

Got a royal and action -

This was a tough call since I basically have a bluff catcher in this spot, but I didnt think he played AK this way.

Yep!

So I'm doing this mostly to keep track of my own thoughts as I continue to learn about this crazy game of poker.

$25 nl has been kicking my ass recently and its really effected my confidence in my poker game. It's frustrating, I know Im a winning player and I know I'm smart enough to beat this game, but after 25k hands I'm down 9 buyins...

I found some solace in poker tracker - I'm running 20BI below EV which is pretty sick, also I've paid another like 25 BI in rake over that period. So without running bad and without rake I'm actually a solid winner at this game.

But i can't make excuses - I've tilted away my fair share of monies in the same period. It's pretty frustrating to know your beating the game but still be down over $200.

So I think I'm going to focus on MTTs again for a bit, I run so much better in those - up $1000 in the last few months. But I've set the goal to beat at least the micro stake cash games so I'll have to return to grinding eventually.
