Hey all.This is my first blog post here.
Basically, I decided to move out of home in November and live in a city apartment and support myself 100% through poker. Due to the impossibility of finding a decent property for rent in inner city Melbourne, I had the brilliant idea of buying my own place outright. This would force me to really grind and take poker seriously for a bit and cash in right? I haven't made a mortgage repayment in 3 months. Hopefully i can play about 40k hands this month and eek out enough a profit to live this month.
So I decided I have to start reading this year , after not reading a book for a bout 2 years and where better to start than the books people rave about. I have read the first 3 chapters of “Catcher and the Rye” . The librarian said that the guy who murdered John Lennon blamed this book for his insanity. I really can't see why. I do enjoy his rants and tirades though as the main character dices through the other characters in the book . His description of questionable hygiene of his dorm next door neighbor Ackley is pretty hilarious. I will probably be able to get though this book from cover to cover , which is as high praise as I can give a book.
I also bought the Veronica Mars first season. Its a decent show , I oscillate between hating the Veronica character with her squeaky voice and having a crush on her.I will decide which it is by the end of the series.
My favorite hobby is to walk around the CBD and perve at Uni and business chicks, gawd I love Melbourne in the summer. I hope one day to date a chick taller than me ; I am about 200cm tall.
Back to poker - today I played a hand today where I called a guys flop raise when I flopped a set, then just check called the turn and river. He also flopped a set. I want to play 2 more session of poker today, hopefully.
