Rounders final hand

So, I was looking for a clip of "Pay that man his money." Then I figured I might as well watch the last hand.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RiuE...eature=related

So, Damon doubles the blind to 400 with 8s9s.

KGB obviously snaps

Flop 6d7sTh
Damon Check,
Teddy bets 2k
Damon calls 2k.

turn 2c
Damon checks
Teddy bets pot, 4800.

Now here is my problem with the hand. Teddy has like 3700 or 3800 left behind. How the fuck does Damon not raise here?

Does anyone really think Teddy's on air here? If he's on air... can you really expect him to bluff off his 3800 in a $14400 pot?

I know it's a movie but I am reallllly wishing river paired right now. But then again, this hand could be why a lot of fish slowplay more than they should.

So, basically, Rounders plot goes like this: get coolered and bust out. Play with borrowed money you can't afford. Butcher a hand and bust KGB. Pretty awesome if you think about it.

EDIT: corrected for pot/stack sizes

What the hell? You have it wrong. I don't know how you came up with a pot bet on the turn being 2800 after 2k was bet and called on the flop, but he bet 4400 on the turn, and he still had more than the 13,200 in the pot left behind. They reloaded without mentioning it, but you're supposed to just figure it out.

So Teddy betted 4800. Gotcha. that makes it worse unless I am counting Teddy's stack totally wrong.

So looked more closely, seems Teddy has about 3800 (2 stacks of greens, 2 stacks of reds and some blacks).

3800 behind in a 14k+ pot... yeah, still awful.
