After reading Matt's blog about multitabling I wondered to myself if I am stuck at low stakes SSNL because the money is almost inconsequential until I tilt off a couple buyins due to sheer boredom.

So today I did a little experiment and started with 12 tables off the bat...

The trade off was I couldn't even maintain this for 2 hours. It was just very hectic and my eyeballs were beginning to tire. With no other reason than to keep boredom at bay, I just couldn't keep it up and I dont' think I will try again.

What I do know now is though I can still crush SSNLHE as long as I dont' go off doing stupid things and I will probably move up from happy meal stakes (100 and 200) to nice dinner stakes (400 and 600) within a couple of days.

I have loved PokerStars and FullTilt for a long time... and even now, I love them.

However, for the first time in a very long time, I am truly and uncontrollably jealous of euros because they could fill their free time with this:

6 tabling 1/2 6 max NLHE. I really need to figure out how to actually care at beginning of the session and not donate 450bbs. Short summary of the hand is I had 67ss on J4s5s flop and 3 barreled my stack off into donk's KJ.

So, I woke up this afternoon... rolled out of bed and started playing because I didn't want to take the 10 yard hike to the kitchen to make coffee.



Lesson: caffeine=+EV.

PS: I am still on my SSNL grinding quest trying to move up.

So for the past week and half or so I've been concentrating my efforts on getting my NLHE mojo back in .5/1 to 3/6 NLHE games, both FR and 6-max.

My results so far between .5/1 and 3/6 (mostly .5/1 and 1/2) are $3705.10 at 5.84ptbb over 19574 hands. It's solid, but it's really nowhere I want it to be. I'll be moving up quickly and I am really hoping to get to a point where I could multitable PLO and NLHE at the same time like I did back in 2003/2004.

The competition honestly is a little bit weaker than I expected. The default lines villains take are much better than 4 years ago, but there is still little balancing and once you ID villain lines they become very exploitable. The situation will probably change as I move up. But so far, I am fairly encouraged by what I see.

Meanwhile, I am going to work on tightening up my preflop ranges and perhaps be a bit more aggressive preflop and hopefully my results will improve in the next couple of weeks.

After more than 2 months after Matt contacted me, I have finally managed to get a PLO video up on LeggoPoker. Honestly, I am nervous. Last time I felt like this I was stepping up to the podium at my first debate round in a lecture hall with god knows how many people watching. I did what I could with the video and I hope you guys will find it helpful. If not, well, let me know why.

I'd love it if you guys could leave me some feedback on anything at all regarding the video. I usually don't play this low so if there is something I said that's patentedly stupid, don't hesitate to let me know that in the bluntest way possible.

Anyway, I am very excited to become a part of the Leggo community and I hope to become a big contributor in the future.
