Good October, Played AE HU, Victim of Sick Call...

Just to start with, I do believe that it is since my last blog post that the greatest band to come from these shores has ceased to be. RIP Oasis.... so here's some listening while you read...

(obligatory how do you embed youtube?)

October's certainly going well, though as per usual I've allowed some complacency to creep in... a short sharp $4k shock today is usually just what I need to re-focus. I'll maybe take tomorrow off for pub sitting and Hull City watching then re-focus on Tuesday on getting my record month in.

As you've all probably seen, I got to play Mr AEJones for his latest HU vid. Not to take any shine off the great man's win, but I was extreeeeeemely card dead for the whole 30 minute period. Thus I never got to leverage my constant leading with air into anything meaningful. Meaningful in this case would have been some sort of pair or GS or high card K that I could have done something with, but alas.

I did at least bank this small win, with a river spot where it was clear I could never have the As after not cbetting, thing is I thought he would certainly lead the turn with it as well so my right of last initiative won the day. I think in the video he had something like Q10, ie a pair, and I think in his shoes I just call my river bet.

I've been playing a little bit on FTP, and my is there a lot of terrible aggression. Like, real obvious stuff like bluff raising ace high boards in deep 3bet pots. I haven't come across many on seemingly any kind of decent level, except maybe this guy..... how's about this for soul read?

Dude, you left out the best part of that ae hand. the quote from his audio that goes along with it. Something along the lines of I'd do this with the Ace of spades, but unfortunately he had the ace of spades. "He's absolutely not bluffing". Sniffles for oasis.
