Well, I havent posted in this blog for a while. This isnt due to me being slack for the most part, it is mainly due to myself being shipped out to the middle east at the start of this year.
Unfortunetly I couldnt post on leggo but the gods did shine upon ourth beloved site by allowing me to access it at least. Anything else to to with poker was banned.. Ship the Unusual but lovable name of leggopoker.

Well the navy in its infinate wisdom gave me a months off work to recover from being sent to an active warzone which gave me a perfect opportunity to play some poker. so
at the start of the month i was lucky enough to get a sweat off Matt Prob which after this subtly hinted at some coaching, so i promptly fired off a coaching thread in the small stake expecting maybe one of two people offering there services..... i got 7

So after test sweat with a few of them i decided to go with Jeff (Lostinthesaus). Being ex military himself i found that i could relate to him and knew that my strings of swear word which i sometimes ramble off would be taken light heartedly.

So the next day we did an hour of coaching going through some awkward spot that i seem to manage to get myself into, and i found a +EV solution to them. Avoid them like a Thai Beanie Boy

So after a solid hour of coaching my winrate went from 1-2 bb/100 to 14bb/100 which was out of control, my Poker dick was huge as i was busting BR's with Gutshots and Runner Runner FD's, As with an uncontollable upswing there was an equally as impressive downswing, My fall from grace was swift and effiecent as i manage to lose all the profit i had made in the start of the month.

Not to be discourage i ran straight to jeff who unfortunetly was quite busy in his live game (Moving to mexico and all) when i last spoke to him he was packing and promised to get into the coaching when he settles down in the south.

So i didnt want to bleed out any more cash so i went straight to the video ref. to try and find out where i have been leaking cash. I tightened up my ranges OOP a little bit more and Voila, Downswing finished and now im back going north again and sitting on 3bb/100 hands atm.

So that brings everyone up to date. My main reasoning for this post is a little brag because as of today my girl and i are travelling acoss the centre of australia for 2 weeks in my forester. So GL all at the tables and ill see you all in a couple of weeks.....

Well its amazing what getting a coaching lesson can make.

For the first time today i really felt like i was in control at the tables.
I listened to my inner Mitch and folded when he told me to fold and raised when he told me to raise. Played about 500 hands on two tables @10nl and managed to grind a decent +ev Session. Its by no means a huge amount of cash but it means alot to me, Like i said in before.

I felt no wait WAS in control of every table i played on. If i was getting sharked i moved tables. I also played a lot more aggressivly post flop then i would normally do and i learnt something. If people dont catch any of the flop they tend fold lol!

I am so grateful of the coaching that was giving to me for free i might add by Sauce123
as you can see by my graph exactly where i received the coaching. If thats not proof that the coaching makes a huge difference i don't know what is.

Thanks again ben and i hope to +ev tomorrow

I also have a copy of the best hand i played today i think

(This is my first of hopefully many blog posts)

Gunbuster,... Whats a Gunbuster?

This is the first question i usually get asked when i tell people about my job.

I usually retort to this question with the following

" i support government policy with the application of controlled violence"

This statement usually gets one of two reactions. The first one is they they get that confused and proceed to spontaneously combust OR they have a blank face and say something along the lines of wtf.

I usually respond to this with a standard lamens answer of :

"I fix and fire the big gun on the front of warships"..... thus the word Gunbuster.

The word gunbuster is weird and sick aussie oxymoron humor, like calling someone with Red hair bluey or callingo someone who is but like a Brick S***house Mouse.

I have been in the navy since i was 17, i joined mainly for the fact that i wanted to see the world for free. It is true that i have seen the majority of the world, it is also true that i have at some points worked almost 3 days straight without overtime. The navy has been good and bad but theres one thing that i am grateful for. Thats the fact i would never have played a hand of poker if i havent had joined.

If you fast forward 4 years from when i first heard about poker, I knew a whole lot more about the game but i dont have anything to show for it. its been only the last 3 months that i have started playing online and i was hoping to make big coin as most people do when they first start out. Bang just like that i blew $50 dollars, and i decided to search into the depths of online poker and then i came to leggo. I have learnt more in the last 2 weeks then i have in the last 4 years.

I have never really taken poker that seriously until i for leggo. that day i bought hold em manager and went on to blow another $50 online. This proves that i still have a slot to learn about the game. unfortunately for me at the end of this month i have to the northern Arabian gulf and do my bit for the war against terrorism but im hoping when i get back in 6 months with a little bit of coaching and hard work i can play NLHM successfully ..
