Gimme action on wieght Loss Prop Bet??

So I havent worked in what seem's like forever, I have gained atleast 50 pounds of weight in the past year ( Not exactly sure havent stepped on scale in god knows when) from just sitting on my ass all day everyday , Im 21 years old feeling the worst I have ever felt ( Im always tired and sleeping from 10-13 hours a day), my social life is nearly non existent during a period of time where someone my age with the money I have I should be having the time of my life, and dont get me wrong I love playing poker and knowing I have my own schedule 365 days a year, but whats the point when my schedule consist of eating/sleeping/****ting/poker/sleeping.

Right now Im at the point where Im making more money hourly then I could ever hope for from poker however Im always so tired it seems hard to get 2-3 hours of pure poker in a day ( Not browsing forums watching videos ectect) when I was more fit I could grind 12+ hour session then on 3 hours sleep do the same. So the time has come where I need to get healthy and gain some confidence back and find a constant social life like I once had. I have been a 1 pack a day smoker for almost 3 years now and I need to kick the habit as well although this wont be involved in the prop bet however I def think the fact im a long time smoker and physically dont have much endurance due to weight gain and def longterm smoking, that these issues should be adjusted to my weight loss goal.

So Im looking for some action on a prop bet to lose X amount of pounds in X amount of time, Now Im not aware of my current weight, or fitnessly aware of what a reasonable goal would be over X amount of time, now I was thinking I buy a video recorder, record me stepping on a scale and we can go from there, anyway feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Im willing to put up anywhere between 3k to 5k on this, and obv would escrow funds to Aejones or Leggo Pro here, I rather not post this on 2p2 or any other forums so I would appreciate it at this time if discussion is kept on this forum. If I'm unable to get the action here then I will consider taking idea to 2p2.

You should get a personal trainer! I think that will be the best thing for you, they can also help with the stopping smoking thing. Also maybe if you are making so much money you could consider getting a personal chef to make you up heaps of healthy meals & freeze them for you to just heat up whenever you need?

Personal trainers are great if you can find a good one. Springing for a personal chef is a bit silly imo since you need to learn how to cook healthy food for yourself; a chef is a good short-term solution but in order for your healthier lifestyle to be sustainable you obv have to be able to take care of yourself.

You're going to feel worlds better if you stop/reduce your smoking, but sitting at home playing poker is boring as hell so I definitely see how having a cigarette is a nice break.

I lost 12 pounds in the last 3 weeks and expect to lose about 20 more in the following 6 weeks. Although my diet does not contain much in terms of heavy exercise, I eat very well. The key is in your diet. Exercise is good and needed but won't do anything unless accompanied by excellent dieting practice. Low carb/calorie intake with lots of protein is key. My diet contains a very very minimal amount of carbs. This is going to be quite hard to follow coming from what I would assume based on your post is a carb intensive diet (fast food, etc?). The first week of such diet will be the hardest but once you become acustomed to it, its not that bad and you will instnatly feel better about yourself. Your body doesnt need carbs when it has fat deposits.

Oh but yeah you clearly will need a lot of protein to keep your muscles from deteriorating. The idea is to isolate the loss of weight to fat. You will lose some muscle doing this type of diet, as that is inevitable. Your body will use muscle and fat as a source of energy. But with continuous supply of protein it should minimize the muscle loss. If you want more info on this just let me know and I'd be glad to give you my pointers.

If you can stick to a diet based on protein/healthy fats/veggies you're going to have great results. At first you'll drop a bunch of weight as your muscle glycogen is depleted, but once your body turns to fat for its primary energy source you should really start seeing some outstanding results.

A good diet book is available online and basically explains what Tickner and I just suggested in a lot of detail. It's available as a PDF here. The lifting program is good too; the guys who wrote it are very well respected in the natural bodybuilding community so I don't think you can really go wrong.
