So for those of you following hockey in the olympics, usa ended up beating the canadiens sending them to go play the germans in a game that they should win handily but then having to face the russians in the quarterfinals.
This game could be a blessing in disguise as it has resulted in a couple of lineup changes and more importantly a change in goaltending for the rest of the way it seems. Vancouver's own roberto luongo will get to step back into net for the germany game and if he does well will likely continue to play in the elimination rounds. Here's a snippet from an interview that sums up luongo's thought on canada's chances in the rest of the tournament
NHL.com: You're an avid poker player, so we'll put these in your terms. What kind of hand is Canada holding now?
Luongo: Now we got a good hand, but we have to make sure we hit the flop.
PS. All this hockey has been really hurtin in the amount of hands i've been puttin in this month =/ but whenever I've been playing in the past week i've been getting runner runner'd or coolered pretty bad this session but possibly to balance out running well in the first couple weeks.
Hopefully in my next post it'll be about canada winning.
