LOL.. I have been playing poker with this guy and his son for years. He does seem to win a little in the 2-5 and 5-10NL live games, but I don't see him winning 8K+ a month in tournaments, not even close. In Albuquerque they call him the mini Bernie Madoff. He stole a lot of money from a lot of people, and it is kinda creepy to see him just wander into the card room to play as if nothing is wrong. Plus one has to wonder how he went broke in the first place, and what did he do with all of the stolen money???
I'm saying he is not that great. I think his biggest tournament cash is about 30K. In the live games Laser Show is spot on. At 1-2nl for ex. he usually has $900 to $1200 in front of him, but he will be in for $800 ect. Although I'm guessing now his motivation is at an all time high...
I just showed my wife the clip, and she reminded me that when I first started playing cards, I was impressed by the way he was able to separate himself from the money when he played... LOL yeah because now we know that it was not his!!
She is always warning me that you just don't know the whole story about people and you can't just take everything at face value. She was right again this time
