Hey all,
Haven't posted in a while, but figured this would be as good a time as any to give a quick update. I've had a very good December playing 100nl and 200nl HU. Mostly this is due to the fact that I haven't been tilting as much as usual.
After comming across Matt's post about the new Leggo coach Boywonder, I realized just how important controlling your tilt can be. Boywonder posted about his yearly results in 2+2 that "Let the doubters doubt, but as always I maintain that 80 or 90 % of the results above are due to emotional stability, 10 or 20 % to the technical game itself."
Last night, I started my session quickly down about 6 or 7 buyins playing 200nl HU. Normally I would have gone on to spew/tilt away a crazy more amount of buyins. I almost just quit the 2 HU matches I was playing so I wouldn't tilt. But then I rememberd the Boywonder post and realized that there is NO reason for tilt to be in someone's game. So I kept my emotional control in check and managed to finish the session up a buyin and a half. Thus proving to me that EMOTIONAL CONTROL is key when trying to beat HU.
