tough spot in irish open

firstly sorry to anyone thats been reading this blog for not updating it for like 6weeks. 2 weeks ago I wrote out about 50% of a massive entry and its saved on a usb stick but cant find it! Cant believe ihavent got round to doing it for so long! Will post that blog when its finished when Im back home

I cruise through the qualifier 200R (2.5k ss 2.5kR{which i take 1st hand] then 4kA) qualifier after a sketchy hour or so in the middle when i take two beats and then get lucky with a flush draw. Roberto has 50% of me. 460 runners and 64seats awesome value.

end of level one im 5/5 for HPHW then I limp A7hh for 50 get raised to 175 it chks thru he tables AK and i muck. next hand Im utg with KK so I limp again same kid makes it 175, guy calls from btn I make it 875 more which is a huge raise for the table so far (10kstarting stack, all 3 of us have 1-2k more ish) OR folds BTN flats.

FLOP Q65ss I lead out for 1125 looking to entise a raise, he thinks and makes it 3k.
a) I wanted my lead to look weak so hed raise me.
b) In the previous pot with him I had 10Js on a on a 10 8 4 R flop and bet 325 into 400pot and he thought for a while before opting to fold. and feel like hes thinking about making a move.
c) I feel iv riled him a few hands earlier by asking him to move his water bottle out of the way of his chips to which he took offense as we all basically have starting stacks.
So now Im not sure where I am and dont want to stack off on the flop by shoving and ld miss value from future streets if he is bluffing.
I think about what he could have that beats me and rule out 55 66 b/c the raise is too big pre and i dont think hed call those, QQ hes otb and didnt 3bet the 175 and I diont think he can fear my utg limp as previous hand it goes to showdown and I muck to AK high. He could turn up with AA here but again hes got position and should probably 3bet to make it look like a squeeze?

I decide to flat the 3k and re asses on the turn
9s he looks genuinely worried by that card and I chk to him. He rubs his mouth in a hmm kinda way and declares all in after 20seconds or so.
Now im thinking maybe he could have turn a set with 99 but he really didnt like the card and I have the redraw with Ks. But I cant put him on a hand that Im beating other than JJ-TT-88-77 with a spade. AQ/J with a spade.
He has me covered by about 500 (I have 6650)
I dont like the way he hmm shoved the turn but his first reaction was oh shit that a bad card
So now I really dont know what I should do Im struglging to put him on a hand that is beating me and I cant put him on a hand that Im beating. It is possible he'll turn up with AA here but ireally do not belive he has a set.

What would you do?

I eventually call after 2-3mins and he looks like Iv caught him and wont turn over his cards...

I played the Irish Open too. I think flatting the flop raise is the way to go this deep. On the turn however, unless he is a a retard I can't see him sticking in a hand worse than AsQo on the turn with these stacks, this early and I think their is a good chance he checks that back. The fact he looked like he disliked that card and then went allin makes me think he actually loved that card and is doing some acting. I would fold.

P.S. I don't play tourneys much and I am certainly no authority on them, but I dislike the limp raise pf as you pretty much give away your hand and put yourself in big pots oop where they know your range much better than you know theirs.

thats the one, Im pretty unhappy with the hand now iv had time to think about it, and I thought he was a tard as he called pre with A3 and flopped two pair and didnt get much value from AK, then again tards dont 3bet QQ IP. I think im a pretty good reader of reactions and he defo didnt like the spade as he proceded to idiot roll me with top set (qq). You still in dublin?

That's the one, do you mean that's Roberto? If so I was the young looking guy on his immediately left. I left Dublin on Sunday with a monster hangover.

Just back from Dublin. > 12 hours travel by land and sea. I'll fly next time.

As for the hand, man I learned a ton about live players this weekend. I'd be looking to flat and see a safe turn then commit, you actually got one of the worse possible so for me turn fold.

PK yes ill scout thru the live footage see if I can spot ur ugly mug so I can give you a beat next year. You play any interesting pots on the feature table?
Grog 18of us caught an executive coach over and the ferry way delayed til 5am which resulted in a 14hr cash game, I guess the trip back could be a drag but I flew..

Woah brutha, less of the insults. I didn't even mention I took most of your friends chips :D. On the feature table, I folded two pair on the flop and was correct. Aside from that nothing interesting. Being on tv doesn't interest me, so I just tried my best not to look a fool.

yeah I think thats the general consensus with feature tables. doesnt surprise me he usually gives them to anyone who enters a pot with him unless he sucks out lol

The two pair he folded was pocket 7s on KKT 3way, but let him have his little moment
