So for the last few months I have been tredding water, I have been grinding low buyin mtts off a very small roll, and having to cash out each month to pay my bills/mortgage thus effectively getting nowhere.

I havent been on the ball with my tenants, and basically trusted people who I thought were my friends who have really left me in the shit.

I also pretty much had to write off May and part of June because of exams, which isnt easy to do when you've got to make money.

Running particulary bad does make it easier to stop playing however.

I got 3 outed or worse in every comp I played last night, except the last one where I was short and shoved a gutshot from SB. I did however qualify to a E200 ECPT Vienna qualifer off E5 but you cant unreg from qualified comps on Ipoker.

I needed to cash out about £600 yesterday so the money would be in my account in time to pay the direct debits. So I load up my buddies list and theres 3 people I have decent notes on all on the same 200PLO table so I sit with $150. I grind down to $100 over half an hour or so after losing one pot and not finding one decent spot when this hand happens...

SB I actually play live with and is a rock but has started mixing his game up. The BTN limp combined with how tight I have been playing is a complusory raise. Who knows I may even pick up a dream flop with 69% equity...

This hand pretty much sums up how I have been running for the last 6months.
I have not played my A game consistently, and I have never cared about having beats, never.
But I keep losing the critical pots (live and online) when im a huge favorite and its really been niggling at me lately and causing me to feel very frustrated because I need the money, which makes me play less optimal poker and its gotten to the point where Im really doubting my abilities to have poker as a viable career.

I have been to the job centre to look for something and looks like im going to have to work in telesales 10-6.30 5 days a week for the next 2 months. At which point I will be sorted as people move into the house in september and I make £500p/m profit and live rent free. Its going to be a huge shock to the system. Right now im almost reliant on two of the most unreliable fucks who owe me money to come through for me and cover whats left of the bills this month.

Nah Iv probably got 2 or 3 resits but then again I mighta miracously binked 40% in all of them!
Immediately after exams I've been partying as per standard, had some wicked nights out. SPR awards ceromony was a good laugh and hopefully I can put in the effoert to carry it on next year, although theres not many of us left and I dont really know the one that are that well.

I havent been playing much poker lately alls iv done is played a few live donkaments trying to get into some suprisingly good value freerolls. I bubbled the FT/1270 on the nightly 70K on stars for $665 which was frustrating as 1st was 12.5K, Iv now busted my rolls online cashing out to pay mortage/bills and I still need one tenant to cover me for July/August! Got about $500 worth of points on ipoker which ill trade in shortly to begin grinding low PLO/8 and a few mtts, although id rather grind PLO/8 on full tilt as I get rakeback quicker which is more beneficial to me. Im semiconfident I put in a decent volume next month and make about 1K in RB grinding 25PLO. (would be nice to win 100BI aswell) we shall see.

One casino has an 8K freeroll for their top 40 players, Iv missed it by 1 point. LOL. its on monday 28th, hopefully theyll let me play when someone doesnt turn up. I didnt even know the league was finished as Iv barely played, alls I had to do was buyin to get 40th place so it'll be pretty annoying if they dont let me play!

The other casino league finishes tonight. top 50 play a freeroll for a $15k m/e package which is pretty sick. Im secure in that even though I didnt play a tournament until mid may (league started in feb) b/c i thouhgt id already be in vegas when the freeroll was on.

Toothache is probably worse than catching aids, I have been to the dentists 5 times in the last 6 days! It still hurts a bit but at least I can sleep now. last week alls I did was sit on the sofa swilling ice water in my mouth (started with milk but 6pints in a night doesnt paint a pretty picture when u gotta sh*t). Thank god weve got sky movies and theyve managed to put a decent 24hr schedule on.

The would cup has been pretty upsetting for us English fans, however im expecting us to go through tonight provided USA dont score a shedload v Algeria. Im also looking forwards to Brazilv Portugal as both teams are through and playing for top spot in the group and provided spain beat chile then winner of brazil/portugal will probably be playing switzerland instead of the spanish so portugal have nothing to lose and everything to gain, unless they want to play spain in the next round before they fully find their rhythm.

I think realistically im a 3-1 shot to make the final table and then ill need a bit of luck to win the package. Hopefully Ill be chipped and the people on there will do deals that involve me playing the m/e. Im just trying to think out of the 50people who is actaully technically gifted? not even gifted, average, perhaps another 4 people, If i get chipped up im in with a shout. Theres also not going to be antees which isn't very good as it would increase my edge if there were.

I did smash my first exam though so thats good

Firstly I think I have just decided not to go to vegas as originally planned. The main reason for this being my bankroll or lack of.

I need to really buckle down and work to get decent grades in these exams. And if the thought of going to vegas is in the back (forefront) of my mind I will not do any work but continue on the mtt trail.

Sooo I have to speak to Stu this evening when were both awake to see what were going to do about the villa, so as a heads up ill probably link the details to it later tonight as he expressed some concerns about going the other day so if anyone is interested its a great deal.

Im pretty sure playing live the other night has really tilted me. I sat there and the game has changed. Its full of chinese who have no clue. They call all the way with nothing (which is great for the game) spewing 200BB every hand. Problem was I only hit one fop all night and I couldnt squeez/bluff any pots. Oh the flop I hit 2 pair on someone flopped a set.

The night after I was equally connecting free and the squeezd one pot flopped the world (top and bottom) and one guy shoved with OESD I call and the other guy has flopped top 2 FML.

Tonight I had some massive blow ups online which is a rareity nowadays. Im defo on tilt. I played like a cock and donked some massive stacks deep. (2.5x FT average with 12 left) was one of the worst. And actually bubbling after being 3rd in chips (81paid).

In fairness I did run pretty terribad which didnt help my frame of mind.

I think the only poker related activity.ill do for a while is the irish open TR.

Iv busted every comp today. getting my stack in near the bubble on 80/20's or kk into aa/ ak v pairs.where im forced to race. I feel sick.

In order to cheer myself up my vpip in the low scoop is now going to be 100% for the rest of the comp.

Iv tilted a few ppl by showing extreme 3 barrels and my tables going WILD. Im actually getting nicely chipped up b/c the standard is very poor. well I was until I just got priced in by a cold 4bet K5 v KK and top pair vs gutshot +2 overs for 10k and 30k respectivly. If I get cards ill be dangerous....

This will be an interesting table im down to 160k after 3 barreling the other big stack, were both on ~160k. another guy here with 230k now.

Ooops. 3 bet with 72 flop a flush draw, turn it lose 100k ish v the NF. same guy I 3 barreled who called me down with 4th pair so theres no way im not getting it in. thank god hes a nit didnt put my last 50k in...

Although its been wierd. Iv probably played close to 30 mtts, maybe more 12 tabling most of the time. I was about to start a sweat thread cause I was deep and chipped up in 3 or 4 simultaneously.

As I wrote out the entry I bombed it in all of them LOL. I made a final with a stack and donked AQ into aces, and CAI BvB w/ K9 v Q4. busted 6th (for 225, 2k for 1st)

In the 8R on stars there was 150 left I was top 10 busted 77 after btn raising 55, expecting a 3bet from SB and 4 bet him 2/3 oh his stack. He tanked for ages and put it with AT. LOL. After he won the pot he started berating me! Next hand I run QQ in AA. GG me (8k first)

In the $10 20k on stars I amassed a nice stack and kept having my opens shoved on by the same guy. I donk half my stack w/ AQ into his Ak and then get 99 in v 88 and a glorious 8 hits the river.

Before all of this though I must have flopped sets 50% of the time. Not one held. It was LOLable
set v top pair. and 22 on A28. Villan gets it in w/ 66 and deliverance arrives straight in on the turn.

KK iv probably had about 20 times aswell. ran into the other KK 5 times and lost the rest!

I just binked another one for $1200 after winning a lot of races on the final. I went in as chip daddy and ran well. I did only opt for +EV races. ie racing at worst/declining racing at best senarios

Good job too cause realistically this is the last session I can put in until after my exams (well the four day block, mon,tues,wed,thurs) how brutal is that!?!

Last night was clean off wild and I didnt get out til late when all the boys had a standard pre varsity bucket party at 10am. basically an 50L bucket filled with everything alcoholic. It was utter carnage in town and at the house after.

Tommorrow we're going on a wknd tour/piss up and then I got 2 weeks to revise for those 4 exams ( with a 5th one thrown in the week before for good measure) So I have very little time to grind for LV.

I have always been quite lazy with poker even though I play loads. Im feeling confident that iv found my nieche in 12 tabling mtts and with a few more scores ill playing the higher buyins on a better set up and get a string of final table/victories under my belt. Its a tough schedule though 12hour days with no break b/c I-poker dont have the 5min breaks. Even if they did 5mins every hour its still criminal.

So now its 430pm (end of 19hr session)
and the last comp I was in was a 500cap $8. I absolutely owned them.

I really had the desire to win it and kept waiting for better spots whilst those two clowns got gifted chip stacks.
