So the day started by waking up fairly early to catch world cup action. Jaymes, Brad and I then headed to the Rio to play event 24. My table was great and I felt I played really well. I quickly tripled up heading into the 1st break. After the break though, I was card dead. I raised a few hands in position only to get my cbet check raised. Holding absolutely zero equity, I was forced to fold. I dwindled down to an average stack. The last hand before the break I got AK otb and got 4 bet all in for 60% of my stack. I tanked for about 5 minutes into the break and finally called and was shown KK and lost. I got blinded down further after the break and then got 88 ai vs AQ and lost. Very, very standard. I was disappointed in the fact that the end of day one meant making the money. Had I known that, I think I would have found a fold against the biggest nit at the table while I was holding AK.

The good news is James has a huge stack going into day 2.

I then returned home and proceeded to absolutely crush on line pokers. I feel like the changes I've made recently have lead to great results.

I then hit the gym for a good workout. A 24 hour fitness sort of hidden in a strip mall so I had the whole place to myself. Brad asked if I could come get him and Jaymes as day one had just ended so I rolled back to the Rio to get them. We decided to go to the Palms to meet up with Tri, Crispy, Kyle and Nuey. We walked into the bar Roja which is a small bar in the lobby of the Palms hotel (not casino). We found that Crispy had a new bff - Phil Gordon who seemed to be a really really cool, down to Earth guy. Was kind of novel at first but he then became just one of our crew having a drink at the Palms. We left Cripsy, Tri and Phil Gordon debating about ethics in poker and went back to the house.

I had turned on the heater for the pool so when we returned I found that we had a giant jacuzzi in our backyard. Since it was the coldest night it had been in Vegas last night, the jacuzzi was amazing.

I also returned to online poker world crushing yet again for a total of 1000 bbs won.

Today should be good too: Cleaner is coming which is always good. Lots of poker. Clothes shopping. Maybe go to the movies. Definitely playing some ball with the homeys later.

Ahhhh the vegas life. I know, I know. Cool story bro.
