Not gonna force it

Normally, I would be tilting away about 10 buyins right now. Instead, I am going to do the smart thing and just walk away. I ran normal for 14k hands, which means it's time for the Rush doomswitch from hell where you get stacked infinite times in about 10 minutes.

In 400 hands this happened, so it's time to take a break.

KK < 33 in a squeezed pot vs a mega donk...flop 542r we got it in, awesome...I lose riv A

KK < JJ AIPF BTN/SB battle, standard cooler spot except the guy is 14/12 nit, so his JJ is never ever good.

AA < JJ BTN/BB battle, standard cooler that I didn't hold

AK < AQ in a 4bet pot vs a terrible reg, A high flop

KK < AA vs some unknown 1 tabler

I will get back in the gaymes (poker is gay!) later tonight when I've cooled off.

I can't tell you how much money I have saved by literally walking away from my computer when I felt the first signs of tilt. Just stop playing on the very first sign; don't wait until it's your BB, too much shit can happen and if you donate another stack, good luck leaving after that.

don't think the solution is to just quit every time you start tilting, but actually not being results oriented.

It's a journey klink...you can't go from Point A (tilting your face off) to Point B (robot 160k hands/month with zero emotion) in 2 days. I am currently between Point A and Point B and will do whatever it takes to prevent A and work towards B. At this moment, quitting was the best option. Also, my brain is mine and your brain is yours. I have serious tilt issues...like open shoving 100bb issues. You probably don't.

yeah thats exactly my point... i worked out a lot of my mental game and tilt issues just by playing as long as possible trying to play my A game and working on techniques to limit bad decisions. Its probably the most important aspect of poker, especially if you ever want to move to higher stakes where the swings are a lot bigger you really have to be able to deal with losing 5 to 10 buyins in a session once in a while and feel okay about it. Just quitting every time you get sucked out on or something is like sweeping the problem under the rug.
