Table selection
Posted in Poker | View Comments (2)

Hello

Been a few weeks since I posted. Well doing OK, still grinding away but slowly getting there and up this month (yes I know its only the 2nd April!).

My last post stated that "I am a bad poker player" - now...more like "I am still not great but improving", doesn't quite sound as catchy does it?

Anyway, in my quest to become the bees knees, the mutts nuts or the dogs bollocks I am interested in table selection which I keep hearing about.

Now in the risk that I sound like a total novice, what does that mean? What stats do you look for with this and what actual stat amount is a good guideline?

Is it the amount of people to a flop or the average pot? Obviously I would like to win the most possible so this little nugget of info would be useful - any pointers?

Thanks

Best is to use a table scanning software. The HEM Table Scanner or the www.Spadeit.com is two of the best ones.
Then you should use some scoring rules to figure out which tables are good. Since just using either plrs/flop or size of the pot isn't going to tell you if the people playing are bad or not.

So this is an old post I made about scoring rules: http://www.leggopoker.com/forums/gen...ules-6671.html
