Went to Colorado with the family over Winter Break. Went skiing for 2 days in Breckenridge which was amazing. Second time skiing down there, and definitely ranks as one of my favorite things to do.

Also, just got home from 5 days in New York with my marketing class for school. We stayed in right off Time Square called a hotel called Hotel Edison, which was an old but nice place.
We visited several places...
-NBC studios
-Sports illustrated
-China Town
-sports museum
-an ice rink (which we were filmed skating in the background for a show called Ugly Betty {which I have never heard of before})
-and some other stuff which i don't remember

Loved the city and would definitely love to revisit in the near future.

I stocked up on new music (about 300+ songs) before these trips so I listened to a good 30+ hours of music between these two trips which is one of my favorite things to do.

awaiting to get back on the poker track.

planning on playing ..25/.50, then to about $300 so i can move onto .5/1.

Hopefully I can make good decisions and takeoff from there

called coach a couple nights ago tellin him i decided on mizzou. he played the "waste of talent" card and he said the offer was still on the table. Don't get me wrong, he was nice and all. He was just real shocked since I showed so much interest. though, he said deep stuff that got me thinking. as of yesterday, I was seriously considering columbia college to try it for a year. but about an hour ago, I called him and told him i had officially decided on mizzou. Not sure if this ordeal is over since I just left him a message this time.

This blog is primarily here for me to write to map out my feelings in helping me make this decision. Despite configuring the pros and cons through and through my head, the decision does not seem to be gettin any clearer.

finally, the moment i've been waiting for. all information presented in order to make my college decision. but not 45 minutes ago, columbia soccer coach called me. offered $10.5k scholarship money a year. mizzou or columbia college. Basically, I am given by week's end to make a decision that, no matter how i like it, will ultimately change my life for the better or worse...

-the life-long friendships i will gain
-the degree and money earned for the rest of my life
-where i will be living (state, province, house)
-whether i will die going to one college over the other
-pets?
-names of pets
-my soccer skills
-possibly the girl i marry, which will ultimately effect...
-children
-grandchildren
-great grandchildren
-etc...

Hopefully I can look at this post years from now and laugh, for it all worked out

closing in on me very fast.

with a career GPA of about 3.3 and ACT of 22, i was accepted into 4 of the 4 schools that i was interested in. Missouri state, mizzou, fontbonne, and columbia college. right now, I have narrowed it down to columbia college and mizzou (which is a 5 min walk away from eachother).

Mizzou: most likely join their CLUB soccer team who is ranked in the nation, get a sweet style dorm with 3 of my best friends, possibly join a frat 2nd semester.

Columbia college: I am getting looked at by the soccer coach. They have a real solid team. smaller college (around 2000?) will probably cost less than mizzou.

If i had to weigh my options, I would say i am leaning 70% to mizzou, 30% to collumbia college.

Does anyone have any advice on whether i should go dorm or fraternity or anything else?

I don't really plan on anyone reading this, but here's my poker story: played poker a little starting freshman year of high school. mostly with friends, some online. online was full of ups and downs. finally, this summer i set up a bank account thing and transfered to full tilt, where I fourished NL 50 onto NL 100 onto NL 200 deep. First couple weeks I built bankroll to 4800. from there, it slowley drindled. well, not so slowly. One night, after receiving an incredibly bad beat, I went up to play hu at NL 10/20. stayed even for about 10 hands, until i raise button with a8o. flop comes aj9 2 spades. he checks, I bet. he calls. turn 8 spades. he checks, I bet. he raises about 4x my bet. after taking my whole clock, I opt to call. River is deuce diamonds or something. he insta-shoves with 1500. Once again, I am faced with another decision. Having put in about 8 or 900$, I decide to call. If I played the hand over again, I am not sure I would be able to make the fold on the turn. So boom, -2500$ in the matter of a hand. close my laptop, and go to sleep (an hour later). Despite my home was ultimately NL 200 deep, I had the urge to take some more shots at NL 1000. Those games are ridiculously soft, therefore, I could steal pot after pot. Until one day, my AA busted against KK for a 2000$+ pot. ((((yes, I know i do not belong at those stacks, thx)))) Thennnnnnn about a week later, my KK busts against AK with an A on the river (1400$ pot). It was sickening, yes. but at this pt, my brain was warped from all the bad beats. It was at this moment when I finally broke down. left with $500 in my account, I could not give a sh**. Story of my life. I have not played since, but plan on it in the future.
