Running good at life during Christmas

Hello again partypeople and Merry Christmas to everyone of you!

I'm on the start of one week vacation right now and figured I would give all you interested readers a short update. To summarize in the shortest way possible I could say I'm running pretty good at life but run bad at poker for December.

The Christmas celebration (December 24th in Germany) with my gfs' and my family has been a blast pretty much, with tons of fun and cool presents and all, plus having vacation between Christmas and New Years Eve (with my B-Day at the 2nd of January) is certainly helping to kick the mood in high gear too.
I got the book "The Professor, the Banker and the Suicide King" as a present which should be a cool read, I'll be posting my opinion on it after finishing it. It's for poker-related entertainment only, not for strategic advice or anything, but I still enjoyed the first few pages already.

This is our Christmas tree, my sweetheart begged me to get it like 2 weeks prior to Christmas and decorating it shortly after (she gets really excited about Christmas every year as you can tell ).

Other than that poker's not been super exciting this month and I will yet again just cut on the talking and let pictures speak instead.

December Graph:

Graph since I started out again in October:

What can be seen basically is that I get what I deserve for cutting down a ton of volume while running bad instead of grinding through it (thus the tiny sample in December). I have the very strong feeling that I'm one of the top players at NL25 at Stars right now when I play my A-Game, I just suck too bad on my C-Game and I play just barely more poker than an average recreational player lol.
This puts me in a position where I'm up ~200$ in my roll since the beginning of October, with 100$ being in VIP reward (the graph is a bit misleading here because I lost a good chunk at € tables and HEM messes up those numbers, plus I wasted some money on tourney buy-ins). Well, whatever, I'll just keep on improving and crushing in Galfond $ and somehow my time will come. :P

Other than that sweats have been cool again this month. I just today lost 3 stacks over the course of a ridiculously bad going 3-hour session with klamsauce sweating me and I actually didn't care that much, neither did I start to steam off huge sums of money although the gameflow really put me to the test. That might come across strange, but I think this is what helps me way more than everything else right now, keeping my focus while running like shit and not letting my game drop down to my C-game too often. And I had fun playing poker, what else do you need?

Anybody interested in my play can download these two short recordings of mine, really small files encoded with the ffdshow video codec (you might have to install that one to be able to watch these, and then run the files with the VLC-player).

Nothing spectacular and no audio which might be a little bit tilting, but I think this reflects my B-Game pretty good and might give you an idea about how I tend to play. My HUD is

VPIP/PFR/AF/H
CBET/FvsCB/FvsTCB
ST/FvsST/3b/Fvs3b

I also analysed a vid shadowez sent me a few days ago and I'm in the middle of doing the same for the member diginet and I enjoyed all that too, keeps you sharp away from the tables and all, you know?

Congrats to the loose cannon of the 10th week of the Pokerstars Big Game, I think the guy Fishman played far above every other LC so far, showed a super likeable personality and deserved his winnings, although I was turning apeshit and yelling at my screen when he folded AA and limp/folded KK after his big payday hand, brabbling shit all the time like a little girl instead of just either blind-folding every hand or man up and take his monsters to the flop at least. Thumbs up for the show once again, besides Daniel Negreanu behaving like a dick and playing bad almost all the time it's by far the best TV-Poker show out there right now.

To conclude this blog, check out this song, you Americans don't have this kind of stuff in your charts.

Culcha Candela - Move It

That's it, leave comments, gl at the tables and enjoy the holidays!

Ya if you think your the best player at your stakes, maybe play more tables, to get above variance. Looks to me like your just swinging, I wouldn't worry about a couple bad sessions, after running super hot after a couple sessions. It all evens out.
