MYNAMEIZGREGDon't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever.
Leggo has been going really well and we have been working tremendously hard to plan out the next couple months at the site. As you can see, today we launched the new coaching section, and I think it looks great and will work even better. I'm really excited and looking forward to some stuff that we have coming up in the next few months, and I will also say try to make it to Vegas if you can because there is certainly a bunch of material around the WSOP.
While I don't want to sit here and talk about all our future plans (you will hear about them soon enough), it would be a tease if I didn't say anything, so I will mention something you might not hear about otherwise. We recently constructed a pretty nice ad for the Bluff WSOP program that is being sold in Vegas this summer, so if you pick up a copy, turn to page 5 (it certainly took some negotiating to get on this page ) and you'll see a nice full page ad for Leggo. As far as poker, I really have not been playing much at all this month, for a variety of reasons. I feel somewhat like I am in la-la land, which generally happens the month after I put in a bunch of hands. I don't play too often and my heart really isn't into it. Therefore, I have decided to focus on a bigger goal: learning pot limit omaha. The way I see my schedule is this: I'll be around until mid-June when I go to Vegas, and everything will be NLHE-oriented when I am there for sure. Instead of burning out trying to ramp up for that time, or not putting in enough effort and taking time off out of lack of desire to play NLHE, I will focus my energy on learning and becoming successful at PLO. I have 2 super successful coaches in mind and I am going to see if they will take me on as a student (there's some teacher becoming a student line that would be appropriate here and I can't think of it). I will ease my way into the game, and this way still be able to focus on my own coaching and lots of Leggo-work. I feel like it's a pretty good plan. I also have some movies to catch up on. I wanted to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall and have that on my to-do list. I checked out What Happens in Vegas and thought it was mediocre as expected. I am going to see Ironman today and that is expected to be really good, so I will be back a TR. Lastly, I am setting a goal to read Tommy Angelo's Elements of Poker. I think I have the propensity to get burnt out from all the things I balance, and this book should help me keep the fire burning and me playing well. I will then most likely read some book about time management; even though I have been doing a pretty good job as of late with all this stuff, there's always room for improvement. I will close with a phrase that has become infamous within the Leggo coaches. At the end of one of our meetings, Chris (Tickner) was finishing up what he had to say, and then declared at the end, "To the top!" Needless to say, everyone laughed really hard, and now we give him **** for it all the time. Luckily, he's a good guy and takes it well. TO THE TOP!!!!!!!!!
