MYNAMEIZGREGDon't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever.
So I was exhausted last night and went to bed, planning on seeing what happened, at 9:30. I fell asleep sometime before 10 because I don't remember my TV shutting off (I put it on a 30 minute sleep cycle). When I woke up, I was 6:50 AM.
I've done a pretty good job of being on a real life time schedule during the summer semester thus far. I've gone to bed in between 12 and 2 most nights, and get up in between 8 and 9. My class attendance is at an all time high, haha, so I feel like I don't even need to study for tests because I am actually there in class to learn the material the first time around. I actually have a test in a few hours and am currently applying that theory... Poker has been going smoothly. I actually grinded (like, playing every day) for the first 9 days of the month. Ignoring an epic $1k session while over at my friend's house (Reid/shootaa) in 8-game 10/20, I am up around 36 in slightly less than 10k hands (3k at 5/10, 7k at 10/20). I don't know how many of the 5/10 hands were HU, but I would estimate over 2k of them. It was funny because the first couple days I could tell that people were playing back at me a lot and putting a lot of pressure on me, I assume testing me to see whether or not I could still play. Unfortunately, now I have the unfun adjustment of having to fold sometimes since I have a fucking huge calling station image: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $20.00 BB (6 handed) MP ($2775) CO ($12525.50) Hero (Button) ($2214.50) SB ($3766) BB ($2000) UTG ($2197) Preflop: Hero is Button with A , Q![]() 2 folds, CO bets $60, Hero calls $60, 2 folds Flop: ($150) 9 , 6 , 3 (2 players)CO bets $120, Hero calls $120 Turn: ($390) 9 (2 players)CO checks, Hero checks River: ($390) 6 (2 players)CO checks, Hero bets $260, CO raises to $1000, Hero calls $740 Total pot: $2390 | Rake: $3 Results: Hero had A , Q (two pair, nines and sixes).CO had 5 , 5 (two pair, nines and sixes).Outcome: Hero won $2387 PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $20.00 BB (5 handed) Button ($1000) SB ($2401) BB ($2427.95) Hero (UTG) ($3797) MP ($1980) Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8 , A![]() Hero bets $60, 2 folds, SB raises to $220, 1 fold, Hero calls $160 Flop: ($460) 7 , 9 , 5 (2 players)SB bets $300, Hero calls $300 Turn: ($1060) 2 (2 players)SB checks, Hero checks River: ($1060) 2 (2 players)SB bets $1881 (All-In), Hero calls $1881 Total pot: $4822 | Rake: $2 Results: SB had A , 6 (one pair, twos).Hero had 8 , A (one pair, twos).Outcome: Hero won $4820 I was satisfied with both of these hands because they were both against two of most likely the biggest winners at the 10/20 level. I haven't really played at all since then because I've been busy with school and had a pretty epic weekend that will be the topic of my next blog post. My birthday is on Friday as well. Shout out to Adam001 for owning me in a hand . Also, my next set of videos is going to be a 4-5 part series of 6tables of 6max 5/10 NL. Until next time, Greg
